In fact I quite recently did that but in a way that didn't offend anyone.
What it did was amuse quite a lot of people. |

Wallace, I kinda sucked at duels before that time really .. I played in several duel tournaments before that never passing the 2nd round. Got beaten by DS twice in the 2nd round of some duel tournament at these days.
It was fun playing anyways ![]() And Viv you stole my text! > : (. Also I once met myself in a server. Someone played under my name. It was pretty funny to see how we both tried to be Vegito XD. I won of course after .. 30 minutes or so. lol. |

Best JJ2 moment.. hmm, that probably was the 2nd place in JDC. Due to a mistake in the scores I got 2nd and Quickz became 3rd.
And this has more to do with JCS.. but I like that I'm getting better in JCS and I don't make the same layouts all the time. |

huh so many moments...
the clans rocked, wish we had more wars instead of flamewars... jj2wc1 rocked, chav, viv and me were actually a great team. Beating DM kinda rocked ![]() But i gues the memories that I hold most dear are the ones from my earliest days, when everything was so new. I had a whole bunch of jj2 buddies and we had a swell time. Ohh and above all, the 3v3's and 2v2's with people like veg, gry, chav, viv, fs, enigma, chiyu etc... We overdid it a bit though ![]() Good times. BTW just played against some newer membrs of the community today. I still got it ![]()

all the hotel nonsense brings back memories.. and to this day if i listedn to metallica's black album i think of jazz2.
and clans, i remember when MM and RR had it out for each other back in 98-99 all because they both had leaders namde Viper. who both thought the other had stolen their name. and then of course the most memorable was the server crash in 99-2000 that caused all the cool kids to stop playing.

- RR (my first clan, soon after I started playing jj2 online the summer of '02)
- EC2005 - Teamwork with URJazz/Kirby SSB - Hotels (Mike's concept), - #jj2 thru the years i've been on it - JDC 10 (because I won it ;P) - Chimera's 3am servers - JCS in general - sbv2 duels with FoR members (i built up quite a nice streak before JDC 8 or so too) - sp packs with lark that we never managed to finish. ever. - bashes (all of them, I guess? I explicitly remember the one w/ shadow's clanbase radio tho) - battle server - spamming the hell out of the jcf thru the (-)loads of word games back in '02 when i was new - avk and his crazy vodka fueled cossack meetings (representttt) there's a lot of small events that happened too which i dont remember at all right now. most of the important ones up there are more community based than relating to the actual game but w/e there's a lot of other small events that probably deserve to be up there which i cant remember at all right now :(. most of the more important ones up there are more community based than relating to the game but w/e.

There was the time that you and Salamander asked me to draw a sexy female blackraptor, which I ended up doing a whole bunch of times until I ultimately learned how to draw well. Everything I learned about art was probably due to you and Sal having disturbing ideas.

- Back when I was in the BUTT clan and everyone thought my name was inappropriate
- Back in the day of constant weddings, taking the role of a priest at a wedding and having my 56k modem cut out (not really amusing at the time) - once when mike was an invisible (stealth kicked) player and was armed with a shield, and no one could understand what was going on as a crate "somehow" got tons of sparks flying all over it - Salaspot2 (a level started by sal that black ninja took over and started the entire making fun of sal thing that lasted awhile) - lots of good moments in foo races of course... |
Oct 25, 2007, 12:27 PM | |
That was great because the sparks made the crate seem like magic. But anyone who hit it would crash because the level was rigged.

It was just great to play Test or Hotel servers back in 2003-2004. Probablly just because I was too noob to know better, although I had lots of fun too by playing 2v2's and 3v3's with my clanmates(Sq, ty for these times) from XSD or VS-members. Playing great ClanWars with 8-D can be considered as nice jj2 moments too. Also, nowadays I play lots of Tests again instead of competitive matches, which is way more fun. My best JJ2 times have passed, but nothing stops me from having fun playings this game with my friends.

breaking into one of the first hotels (something involving a hoverboard and a bunch of warps into a jail). I got around it and was like I'M IN!!!! and everybody was like GO KIRBY GO and I was running around and the people inside the place were trying to kill me and I grabbed all the powerup and stuff and ran around.
Man that was fun, and thats what inspired me to make all my silly test/hotel/puzzle levels. |

You just reminded me of another of my moments. It's when I first modified JCS to ignore passwords.
Long ago when I was still a newbie I remember joining a hotel server. Very few people knew how to cheat those days (not me) and it was very difficult to actually do something against the level like getting inside the restricted hotel rooms. The hotel used springs as security doors and ice was the key to unlock them... which was obviously nowhere to be found. I believe I got into an argument with the server and ended up being banned. So I opened the hotel in my JCS, modified the level by putting some respawning ice near the springs and hosted it myself. This is the first time I modified someone else's passworded level. When people started to join I remember them saying stuff like "This hotel has the worst security I've ever seen." "That's because I hacked it!", I replied. When I explained to them what exactly I did they were thrilled to hear how I can open passworded levels, which made me extremely excited. Also I remember the level author not being too happy about it.

Sending my first own levels to Wakeman at Jazz2City, writing all those reviews, testing all those levels, having real life fun with the oldbies at the first jj2 meetings in Holland and Germany, designing my own episode "The Blues Brothers Comeback", coding my little "JazzEd" utility, and countless nightly battle sessions with mez, martin and all the others i cannot name here completly. Seems like there were really a lot of memorable "jj2 moments" for me. It's been a good time.

Aiko, old pal!
Yes, JazzEd is a magnificent utility. Easily the utility I've used most with jj2. Good to hear from you again. ![]() |

Ahhh… my best JJ2 moment?
Well, I’ve never played any party modes whatsoever (I know, I know… I’m deprived) so I think it has to be… *reminisces* (This has ended up to be more like a story – Enjoy) I was eight. I had just gotten Jazz Jackrabbit 2 as a present for memorizing my subtraction facts (really!). I was a little young to play it, though. I would run around and have fun shooting things, but I didn’t quite get the concept of advancing levels or hidden walls - and beating that castle boss is hard when you’re in first grade! So my dad decided to “help” me through it, i.e. play it while I watched. We spent many a night jamming to Colonius and TubeElectric (still my favorite today) and I vividly remember the monkeys. They threw bananas at you! Wow! We advanced on to the last levels. I had gotten a new job, and whenever he needed a bullet change I would punch in the numbers. “Bouncers!” Click! I’d hit the two. “Fire!” Click! Six. “Heat seekers!” Click! “Oh no, Dad! We’re all out!” I loved that game, and when we finally beat Devon for the last time, I watched in awe as everything was made right at the end. Awwwww ![]()

Also a duel against Quickz in BBlair. I believe it was last JDC (13).
It took like... 40-50 minutes or so, was awesome. Too bad it had to end with such a lameish score ![]() |
Jan 17, 2008, 02:59 AM | |
Wow , if any duel i had that long I would just say "im bored you win". I could only play 15 minutes 20 minutes at the most.
