The jazz2 source is written only in C. Nothing else than C. So how do I know this? Bcuz I have the full net part of the jazz2 source code. And I will not give it out since I promised someone I wouldn't.
Cya around!

Err, it was not programmed in C. The "Party Mode"/Internet part was probably made in C, but the actual game could not have been coded in C because C isn't an object-oriented code.

One thing's for sure, it wasn't made using just one language. Also, you don't have to beg Arjan or any of the JJ2 programmers for the source code, if it's just the uncommented source code you want, you could get the latter by using a decompiler, if you can find a good one.

Where'd Lamer's post go?

I know the source code. Arjan told me not long after I started playing JJ2 because he wanted me to help build version 1.26 (there is also an unrealised 1.25, if y'all are wondering).
It has Team Battle, a Treasure mode where roasts are possible called Goldrush, and an every man for himself CTF called Stand Alone. It has Lori, also, and Devan is in there as a playable character until we decided that the rabbits were enough. If you can find Devan's number, you can use him. Please do not ask me for the code, as I am a sucker and may break and give it out. 1.26 is available for those who personally email Arjan praising him as god.

[This is a repost, since my original mysteriously disappeared, maybe the work of a bug?]

Exactly. My guesses are that no one on this planet except Arjan and very few people have 1.25, exspecially 1.26.

I can tell ya how to "make" 1.25 or even 9.42356.423 just open Jazz.exe in a hex editor and whereever it says 1.23 change it to X. As in X=version you want.
Easy as that. But then it will be like "joining" a TSF server with 1.23. |

Shad, you gave me Arjan's e-mail so that I can beg him for the source code
![]() How can Arjan lose money on JJ2 if he releases the source code? Nobody bothers to buy it anyways. That's about it.

Hmm fact is that a source code takes effort to make... He will prolly want money for it, but however the outdating of the code should be enough to make it 'affordable'

Fear has a point. I think you would have a better chance of getting it illegally (like by decompiling) than by begging Arjan because it is doubtful that he would be willing to let go of something he poured blood and sweat into.

You really thing Arjan would charge us for a dumb source code? I met Arjan Brusse *er, sp?* in my server before. He seemed like a nice guy, but I have only talked to him once.
The only way you can probably get it out of him is by begging him on your hands and knees and praising him as a god.

Hmmm, I wouldn't do it illegally.
The last way Arjan could make some cash outta JJ2 is if he could sue all of us who illegally used his code. I nkow it's pretty mean and most of you will knock me on the head for even saying somehting like that, but it is a possibility, and I'm not prepared to take the chance. I'm willing to pay, but I have a low budget, a VERY low budget, I just hope it wouldn't be too much. The way I know source code, it prolly will. All we can do is hope, and ask Boss to hurry up! ![]()

It wasn't Arjan, he would've been in a server with Jeh or Noogy but couldn't because he couldn't join with his proxy. Pretty evil huh? Oh well, that was years ago.

1.25 hasn't been really started on. The source was promised us before but we did not get it.
