I have a sneaking suspicion that saying that others can not host it will simply cause more people to host it. ;-P
It sounds great, though. I'd be willing to host it when I can get a working computer (I'm posting using my toaster, naturally). Will you be adding more rooms as this goes along that are of inferior quality to the originals? I like this idea, though it is unfair to those of us whose computers are down half of the time or have to go on vacation. ;P

Whee, what fun.
![]() Stupid Spotty stole Hugela and my warp..but we'll get revenge..oh yes we will... ![]() Anyway, Mike, I have some suggestions. ;p ~ Store Upgrades: Every 7-10 sessions of the game, the store gets bigger and runs out of supplies less often. ~ Access to your Room: I wanna go in your room..:P ~ Special of the Day: An item that is not normally sold in the store is sold in the store. There could be only 1-2 of these. ~Sale Day: All the items cost between 5-20 coins less to purchase. ~Grab Bag: If someone buys this, you give them an item of your (EvilMike) choosing. ~Lottery: Each player can pay 10 coins to get a lottery ticket with a number they choose between 0-100. (Limit 5 per player.) Then, one day EvilMike would randomly choose a number (or have someone else that didn't participate choose one) and the closest one would win 50 coins, and if they got it right exactly, they would win 100-150 coins! The coins could also be substituted with rare furniture. EDIT: More suggestions.. ![]() EDIT2: Lotto suggestion ;p EDIT3: Yeesh, three edits..made it sound better.. Hey, Mike. Dug up my old password. ![]() Could you post at what time the next game will be? Anyway, For a large amount of coins,(such as 200) maybe you should be allowed to hire a "thief" to "steal" an item from your enemy. Had fun last night, thanks. |

Good idea, ninja.
As for the times, I will only announce the times of the major games (like ones where I can safely manage 16 people). I'll be hosting this level quite often on unannounced occasions though. On these occasions the store will not have many items and no rooms will be for sale.

You could also add secrets into the level, and if the player finds them, he/she will getrewarded. Or, you can add some sort of a game into the level, like freeze arena or soemthing, and the winner of it will get coins...

A new rule: Complaining is not allowed. If I make a mistake, it is either due to the massive amount of things being said to me at a time, or it is your fault due to confusing me in any way. Either case, complaining won't change anything; it is futile. If you do it persistantly, I will kick you. The complaints are ALWAYS something I have been told before. It gets redundant, it's boring, and it bugs me. Calling your complaint "stating the facts" might lead to banning. I hate excuses for complaining even more than complaints themselves. Complaints are ONLY acceptable when they are in the form of constructive criticism. In other words, saying "This part of the level has a bug," is allowed, but saying "UNFAIR!!111 YOU MADE A MISTAKE," is not.
Yeah, I'm mean. Too bad! My level! Your problem! Wow, I'm also cynical. And sarcastic. (I already new I was cynical.)

I was thinking of something similiar to the Thief idea, but it was more like a job system, where if you paid coins you could have a job. I only thought of a few jobs though.
EDIT: Let me add that the initial price that lets you "get the job." That only allows you to have that job title. If you pay the extended price, every time you pay that much you can do the action. This would be sort of a special shop, somehow done with triggers. Thief: Pay 100 coins to get this job. Pay 200 Coins, and you can steal an item from someone's room. Assassin: Pay 250 coins to get this job. Every time you roast someone, you win a random item added to your room. Mechanic: Pay 150 Coins to get this job. If someone uses fire on your furniture, you can pay 50 coins to repair it. Painter: Pay 100 Coins to get this job. If you pay 20 coins each time, you may change the color of one item in your house that has more than one color. Hotel Assistant: You must get chosen by EvilMike to get this job. You are allowed to host the level and report updates to EvilMike. Yeah, whatever, the requirements of the jobs would be simply that you have a room and join every MAJOR game. If you miss more than 1 MAJOR game in a row, you lose your job. Job spaces are limited, and something should be shown to show that the particular person has that particular job. |

12:00 PM is the best time to host stuff if you are in america!
You are just disappointing the Europians(the most part of jj2 players are europians btw ![]() |

Mike, I'm worried about my house getting fired at by Violet..So, would it ever be possible to buy "insurance" for a high price?
Like you could lose it if: You failed to pay it each major game. You miss a major game. It is stolen by another player. And perhaps, since Firesword, Magoo, Spoy, TS, and me are all on a team we could wear tags like ![]() naw, thats a stoopit idea.. |

Foo, in saturdays, sundays and vacations of course!!!!
Think before you reply! |
Feb 4, 2003, 12:02 PM | |
Sorry. You didn't specify in your message.
But, anyway, I think more around 1:30 - 2:30 PM and 6 PM - 7 PM is best on weekends. But that's just me. Noon is OK, too, but a little early for us PSTers (9 AM).

BTW, next game will be thursday.

KJazz, this may
You also made the grave mistake of announcing you have about 10 FPS over the hotel. Prepare to die, unless you have a very good connection. I know Spoy's really the bad guy here, but I'm bad too, so yuo = dEd I eagerly await the next game. Mike, Tell UR and Violet I can make "a deal". |

If rent increases by 150% every time you miss a game, how does this work if two people are in a room, and only one shows up? Does the rent not go up? (And how does rent work for two people, anyway?)

Yes, Hotel Dream.
I must say that the level is extremely addictive, though it lost some fun when Sal roasted me when I had 985 coins, going for 1,000. It took me an hour and a half to get all those coins. AND THEN HE ROASTED ME 12 MORE TIMES IN THE COURSE OF THE DAY. I ROASTED HIM ONCE. "asdafdasfdasfadsfdsa"

And it's KJAZZ. All capitals. And don't worry, I know who to use my fire on from now on..and it's not Derby.. ![]() Anyway, quite fun today dispite that I kept getting hit with fire a lot. Mike, when's the next game? Saturday? |
Feb 6, 2003, 08:28 PM | |
I've been thinking, and I think that it's sort of unfair that one can get one roast on someone and get their entire hotel room for such a low price. I think someone should pay $10 for every 40 square tiles the level takes up to propose a challenge instead of a set amount of money. After all, it takes a lot of money to build the house and paying the same for a small dinky house as a large penthouse isn't very realistic.
In addition, I think that some "special edition" items such as the Seizure Sofa (or was that couch?) should have special value. Then, people could have a value to trade furniture and seek "ultra-rare" furniture and electronics. Just an idea.
