Oh man, my post made it through? Crap I didn't mean to post it. It was supposed to say 'Summon' but I decided against my battle plan and left. *Hits self multple times with nearby table*
EDIT- At the time of the typing, it was to contradict Acid's plan and try to conserve the summon. I still am confused at how it got posted. |

THE worst waste of a ninja speed I have ever seen. You don't even need a ninja speed to get to that position and attack unfoo!

Another question: Does attacking end your character's turn phase, or can that same character move after he or she has attacked?

Attacking makes you run out of movement points. You can cast spells after you attack, if you want.

I'm going with AE's. Careful when you use Ninja Speed, guys, or Risp starts complaining about how you didn't use his favorite spell perfectly.
Shuriken focuses on her inner ninja Shuriken dramatically slices Unfooruman (10 damage) Spotty has the power! (+12 HP) Unfooruman fills Shuriken's blood with toxic waste! Unfooruman laughs as flashes of dark energy pummel into Shuriken (12 damage) Spotty SUPERSLAPS Shuriken. (8 damage) Shuriken dies Spotty has the power! (+12 HP)
Code:
“Wow,†I thought to myself, feeling a cold chill down my spine, “I feel strangely like something bad just happened.†I shuddered briefly and shook the feeling off. I poked the lever on the dispenser slightly, considering notifying the man with the CD player that it was in need of refilling. I came back out. Leetzan was standing (as much as a legless person can) in the same spot, awaiting news. “Did you s-†“Yes,†I cut her off. She glared at me, likely for guessing her question so accurately. People that believe in saving have a one-track mind. The man with the CD player was still standing there reading his book. I looked uneasily at him. Something about him made me uncomfortable. “So, open the door normally, or hack it in half and charge in dramatically?†Leetzan asked, breaking the awkward silence that seems to come up so often. I didn’t respond, signaling to her that said silence is best left alone. |

I dont think you know its Spotty since your memory seems to be erased from when you saved and onward.

I turned to the man with the CD player. I still had an odd feeling about him, but not quite enough to slice him in half. Just for good measure, I swiftly snatched the player out of his hand.
“Hey, give that back!†He snapped. I clicked the device off and stuffed it into my pocket. “If we survive whatever’s through that door,†I responded sardonically. He glared back at me, but did not pursue his argument further. |
Jun 20, 2005, 07:01 PM | ||
“Stay right here. Don’t make a sound,†I commanded the man (now without a CD player). I opened the door slightly and crept through the opening, signaling for Leetzan to follow. No sooner did we get in than a voice bellowed out “now, Spoy!†I heard the door slam, and a small gray and green rabbit leapt over us and landed a few meters ahead as the ground between Leetzan and I split in two.
“Part of me saw this coming,†I commented to myself.

Wait. If an enchantresphere is immune to magic, that means Unfooruman can't unsummon it, because unsummon is a spell! I think. Anyway, to test this theory:
Shuriken: E, SE, Attack Spoy Leetzan: SE, E, Attack Spoy, Summon enchantresphere 1 W of Spoy Enchantresphere: attack Spoy

If it hadn't been for certain circumstances that forced me to go offline while I was typing my reply... Anyway. We should really find a way to discuss strategies. Because without one, we can't win. This isn't Final Fantasy, this is basically an adventure, and as always, to win, you'll have to use tricks. In that sense, killing these guys is no different from passing by a giant dragon or escaping the curse of an old English lady. Maybe we could make a thread Radium isn't allowed to visit to discuss stuff in. It's not THAT far off. Or you could just PM me if you're interested in my strategies. It's probably not perfect.. I was never too good at thinking several steps ahead. Anyway. Killing Spotty. We must destroy him in one move.. so. ...buuuut, as far as I see it, we can't do that right in the first round.... Juuuust... ..if this command is actually taken.. just let me do the next move, too, because I think I've got the right plan... L33tzan: Summon Mythslayer S of her, then W Shuriken: Defend Radium: Don't abuse your knowledge of strategies just because you're not able to program an amazingly awesome AI. >O

Maybe we should try hypnotising Unfooruman again. From what I noticed, his Slay and his attack could slack Spotty's HP to approximately 8. Then Shuri and L33tzan would attack Spotty, and thus he would be done... assuming Unfooruman cannot cast Raise, that is.
Then we could try summoning Enchantresphere. Like Boggy has noticed, Unfooruman shouldn't be able to unsummon it back, and thus it would stay on the battlefield until it's dead.

Exactly. But now Rad knows what we're going to do. He controls the enemies' movements..
But since you already pointed that strategy out: Slay cuts the HP by 1/3. And one third of 22 is 7.3333.. so, approximately 7. And Mythslayer has an attack of 4, making that 11. Shuri's attack is 5, and adding the attack of hypnotized Unfooruman.. 22.

Acid, I'm just going with Faw on this one because your method would have left L33tz4n with one HP after Spoy attacks her, and we already did that once.
L33tz4n calls a mighty Mythslayer forth from some horror novel somewhere Shuriken defends Unfooruman unsummons the Mythslayer! the Mythslayer dies Unfooruman defends

A note because you aren't learning fast enough: defense is VERY important in this battle, as your number of characters is limited (especially if you lose L33tz4n). You've got to start thinking offensively and defensively at once.
Shuriken dramatically slices Spotty (5 damage) L33tz4n summons a fully grown Enchantresphere from wherever it is they come from The Enchantresphere shocks Spotty with a pulse of magic lightning (4 damage) L33tz4n whips Spotty thrice (3 damage) L33tz4n gets a third cut off by a sword-shaped blast of light from Unfooruman Spotty SUPERSLAPS L33tz4n. (8 damage) L33tz4n dies Unfooruman defends

One thing we might be able to do the next time we attempt this battle, (assuming we lose,) could we not hypnotize Spotty and have him shoot his Power Gun at L33tz4n or Shuriken?
Or, we could use Shuriken's Ninja Speed to rush at Spotty really fast and attack with more force, or something. |
Jun 21, 2005, 07:20 AM | |
I guess this is the only thing we can do now...
Shuriken: Attack Spotty Sphere: Attack Spotty

Well, carp.
At this point, I'd say there's two things we could do: 1. Have Shuriken use ninja speed and attempt to deal as much damage as possible to Spoy. Here's what would most likely happen in this case: Spoy's HP: 13/22 Shuriken + ninjaspeed: 10 Enchantresphere: 4 Spoy's HP: -1/22 Spoy's POWER: 12 Spoy's healing gun: 15 Spoy's HP: 26/22 Note that Spoy's health drops below 0 for a small period of time. This may be enough to kill him, judging by how his healing effects tend to happen at the end of the round. 2. Have Shuriken use ninja speed and attempt to deal as much damage as possible to Unfooruman, while moving far away from Spoy. I'm guessing what happens in this situation: Shuri attacks Unfoo Unfoo's HP: 28/38 Enchantresphere attacks Spoy Spoy's HP: 9/22 Spoy attacks Enchantresphere Enchantresphere's HP: either 5/9 or 1/9 Unfoo uses toxic waste thing that we don't know what it is yet Unfoo attacks Shuri Shuri's HP: 0/16 These are just speculations, however. I'm not going to make a move, I'll let someone else decide what to do, since generally my tactics have turned out to be sux. Personally, I suggest the first tactic. Edit: However, since one of the strategies will get us killed, I'm going to advocate the other. Shuriken: NW, W, defend Sphere: attack Spoy

Remember, you can hold your mouse over characters to see spell effects. It will tell you what they do as well.
The Enchantresphere shocks Spotty with a pulse of magic lightning (8 damage) Shuriken dramatically slices Spotty (10 damage) Spotty dies Unfooruman fills Shuriken's blood with toxic waste! Unfooruman laughs as flashes of dark energy pummel into Shuriken (6 damage) Biohazard'd! (Shuriken takes 2 damage)

...Oh. Huh. So much for my battle calculations.
I think right now we need to preserve Shuri. Shuriken: N, NW, W, defend, haste enchantresphere. Enchantresphere: SE, NE, N, attack Unfooruman EDIT: NO DON'T DO MY PLAN IT SUX ACTUALLY

Two comments about that: You can't move across dead people (for technical reasons, really. I think I mentioned this in the first post, but I'll check) and you can only defend instead of moving.
EDITEDIT: nevermind. Everyone deleted their posts really fast.

The enchantresphere attacks dead Spay for some reason but it doesn't work because I never actually added that feature because it seemed wierd. Shuriken dramatically slices Unfooruman (10 damage) Unfooruman laughs as flashes of dark energy pummel into Shuriken (6 damage) Shuriken dies Unfooruman resurrects Spotty with his dark magic! Like, poof!
