But, two things.. one, I don't think it really fits into the tileset.. Secondly, it also doesn't have.. depth.. but I guess I'm not the director of the project or anything. If people like it, it's in.

Yeah, as I said. I'd like it to look like the blocks were made out of the very same material. The color could be slightly off, but.. yeah.
And with depth.. I mean the outline. It's a little hard to explain. Take, for example, the Inferno tilesets. It has tiles where there's actual shading and stuff at the border. This creates an illusion of depth, it makes the wall look more three-dimensional. Also, in the same tileset, you walk on some kind of layer on top of the rock. This also has depth. However, I'd like for the rock to have a rounder edge... ...I guess I'll have to try again myself if I want to explain this. *sigh*

I dunno; there's something to be said for 'ugly' tilesets.
It all just depends how well the tiles work together.

Beautiful, in my mind, is synonymous with colorful or vivid. And since there's a limited number of colors that can be used in a tileset, there aren't really very many tilesets that would qualify.

So the walls will be green? Or will the outside be green? Because bright green-walled caverns are uncommon for a reason.

I think that there should be some white blocks along with the black ones.
Also, I have conjured up some kind of background to use on layer 7 behind some mountains or something. ![]() Go ahead and edit this to fit in, and I know I did a really crappy job on the black rocks :P EDIT: ![]() Some brick-ish tiles to go with the spire ![]()

I say we turn all the brickish tiles into British tiles.

Go right ahead, is what I say. This tileset needs more colour!

If it weren't for the fact that that'd look really strange if the bricks were used in any pattern besides that one, I'd say that's actually an improvement.
