You are supposed to set the dates for your matches by talking with other teams.

FIN vs SLO
The first round was in BBLair. It took some time for Slovenia to finally get three players, but they managed to get three after lots of crashes and timeouts. Finland easily won this round with 5-0. The second round was in Semi. This didn't take as much time as the first round to start, but the actual round was longer than the BBLair round. Slovenia scored 1 point here thanks to ZippeR. They were much better here than in BBLair, but Finland still won 5-1. |

Round 3
Australia - Slovenia (2nd Mar, 12.00 GMT) Belgium - Romania (2nd Mar, 17.00 GMT) Finland - Poland (2nd Mar, 18.00 GMT) Germany - Netherlands (3rd Mar, 17.00 GMT) Israel - Italy (3rd Mar, 18.00 GMT) Sweden - United Kingdom (4th Mar, 18.00 GMT) If a time is not ok, postpone, but do try to play these games asap. Hosts must log the matches. Talk to the opposing team about when to play. Gl hf. |

Emperor do you schedule all the FIN matches on purpose on times when you know I'm busy?
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to play againts Poland, but nevertheless I can't make it on Friday evening. Saturday the same time and it would be fine for me.

I have no idea when you or any other player is busy, that's why you gotta tell it, so we can find suitable times for the matches.
|
Feb 26, 2007, 09:58 PM | |
I'm afraid the games are to be played this week, since round 4 starts next week.
Postponing matches till next week needs absurdly good reasons. FIN - SLO for instance, was postponed because they couldn't get a three player team together earlier and were at the verge of forfeiting. |

ARGH! Wallace! You do this in intention!!
Versus Netherland we have no chance, too ;/ Ok but than the hardest are over ;P

@ Rep: Oh well, I never said I was too experienced about organizing tournaments...
@ Hatebreed: How many times do I have to tell you that the order of the league stage games was chosen entirely by random. You should play the announced games, (meaning all of them) as soon as possible. The given times are merely suggestions, so if you talk to the teams you're gonna face, you may choose to play at another time. A game may be played at any time when both teams (especially their captains) agree to play. In the end of the 11th round, I will give some time for teams to play their remaining games. I will likely also suggest times for those games, contact the teams etc etc. When the given additional time is up... teams that couldn't play at all (whatever the reason) will give forfeit wins as for the rest of the games, people won't get points. That's when the playoff round starts and the four (4) teams that have the least points will be eliminated. More on that will come later... Present: Play the announced games of your country as soon as possible. And I'll say once more that the given times are mere suggestions. |

Feb 27, 2007, 12:14 PM | |
Ok. That's a good enough reason.
I thought you merely wanted to play next week, although you could have played this week. Regards. Finland - Poland postponed till... next week... |

I like the idea and i like how its going now.
![]() however, i think you should limit the player ammount for Clan members. eg, max 2 players from 1 clan per match. It's unfair when you field a full clan lineup against a team that hardly plays with each other.

However that still doesn't matter, as all active jj2 players play together anyway. Such a rule would just make it even harder for teams to get games played (for example I don't have any non CC swedish options)

I have to agree with Gry on this one.
Thanks a lot for (advertising) the tournament on ECReality, or whatever that was, Shadow. ![]() |
Mar 6, 2007, 03:46 AM | |
I can understand shadow's point, but this was to be expected and this should have been discussed before the tournament ( at the poll thread )
And gry has a good point aswell it would be even harder to let matches get played if no clan teams would be allowed, so they are. And i want to do something against the unplayed duels, just like Gry, i didnt see anything either of GER team.... Whenever a country is ready to play at an agreed time, confirmed by a tourney official, and the official can confirm that 1 country was there and 1 was not, then that 1 country, HAS the right to claim a 2-0 forfeit win ( 2x 5-0 ) however you dont HAVE to. However i personally think we should give the country which did not show up a second chanche, Germany has been given 3 chanches so fair, we will clain the win after their next failure but if Gry's story is true, then SWE can claim a win aswell. If a country does not agree on a certain time or date, then LET IT KNOW !!! (-)(-)(-) dont just dont show up but SAY SO, atleast 1 HOUR before the game starts and not 30 minutes after the match !!!!

I think that the website of this tournament should contain more USEFUL information. Like the dates and time when matches should be played, contacts (e-mails/msn/etc.) to the members from each country or at least teamleaders (such people should be chosen). All annoucments should be posted at the site not only at JCF threads, which are always spammed. Also, maybe someone else could also take care of the site? You are too slowly with posting updates or you don't post them at all, Ani.
I'm just giving ideas how to make this tournament better working, so don't take this as an offence, rather like an advice. ;P Btw. Add the result of Poland vs Germany (2-0) already >( We played it a week ago or so.

Sasik, quit being so "useful".
![]() And what Ani said about forfeit wins has been that way for weeks now. :P However, not 5-0, just "win" and the points for winning a match. |
Mar 7, 2007, 01:40 AM | |
That is the job Anakin accepted and I'd say he's updating it enough.
Just keep telling full match details after playing. @ Gry: No. |

OK!!
Keep up the good work Emp! You are the best supervisor ever! I haven't seen a better organised tournament than this one! And it certainly isn't going to fail coz of ur mistakes. You are the best and you know everything better i must admit that, yes. Cya.
