Well, WCB vs iR-t has been played.
Sdgs vs WCB Round 1 iR-T [0:5] WCB (Atom Heart 243.5 of WCB) Round 2 iR-T [3:5] WCB (Happy Semiconductor CTF of iR-T) Overall iR-T [3:10] WCB Round 1 We quite knew iR-T was basically good everywhere. We however expected this level to fit ourselves best this time. It was a fairly quick game with one or two succeeded rushes from us. Round 2 I perhaps played a bit scrappily on Snooze's side this time, but somehow we managed to even lead 2-0 in the begin, then they really decided to pwn us off, roasting us both around the same moment. It became 3-3 as far as I can remember, and we were the lucky ones to steal the cake for now. Overall this round was really even and intense fight.

BRB played one round against RHSP.
BRB vs RHPS 2-5 (Semi, RHSP's choice). Well, DS hosted. It lagged terribly for me. Especially I couldn't hit anyone nor see my opponents coz of the clones. However, I should have already get used to this in jj2 so nvm ;| GG except for the attack of the clones ;p We will play next round tomorrow ![]()

Okay, well, each bracket has 5 active teams now. If a team leaves (I don't hope so, but IF) they won't be replaced anymore, or at least, I won't search for any new teams.
Progress: Red Bracket (5/10) Yellow Bracket (1/10) + 1 unfinished match Black Bracket (1/10) + 2 unfinished matches Blue Bracket (2/10) Which means 9 of 40 matches have been played, so I guess the tourney is progressing 'quite well'. Another thing: the K.O.-stage is online now. The no. 1's were placed randomly, with the no. 3 in their half and the no. 2 in the other one.

Sucer seems to have random problems with jj2, so I don't know what'll happen with NAOSB...
Matters not for now. |

It's funny to give some rope in the match where you choose the level and have the host, showoff. Typical, nvm.

Exciting game, uh and more even than it might look. 10-4 in overall anyway.
We'll meet in the finals/semi NAOSB, don't we?

That depends on can we manage to combine our playstyles better.
Also... (You might feel like calling it excuses...) but this was just about the worst thinkable time (for me) to play this (no doubt hardest match of the division for us). Of course, I should take care to be in relatively good shape in a tournament when the deadline of the matches isn't that far away... Well this time I was in very bad shape, although I played very well just 4 days ago. I also noticed (for like the 20th time) that mine and Sucer's ways of playing make a bad combination. I'm not a 'super offensive player' like Sucer seems to be, so I kinda drag him down considering the team strategy that forms around his gameplay. He is also a dynamic player (win or lose styled) and isn't that conservative, so when we get roasted even somewhat simultaneously, it's an easy score for the opponent. SJ and Snooze are a very good team and can maintain consistency in their good play sometimes for unnatural periods. In this game, especially, I noticed that they both played very offensively and yet managed to leave the cracks in their defenses very small. When I compare both teams from each standpoint that comes to mind, I can quite safely say that 4-10 (2-5 and 2-5) wasn't that bad of us. Although Sucer dominated our team's rather lengthy scoreboard with his 'mega offensive', an equal portion of our defensive measures became my responsibility. Nevertheless, it's still true that the better (and pretty much only actual...) team won this one. We might've lost a battle, but not the war (as far as I'm concerned). |

Anyways we all have our bad days and it's not a competition of one player so you shouldn't feel worried to find an excuse how you were as useful as I was. It's a teamgame and our team lost. No need to pick on any individuals.

You don't have to try my patience in every turn.
Agree or disagree, it's irrelevant. Also, it was you who kept dying with bad timing and sometimes even randomly, while I was struggling to be R at the right time, while trying to kill the flag carrier, who you kept killing away from our base so they just kept recapturing. But enough about that, it's in the past now. Don't think you're perfect. |
Feb 20, 2008, 02:02 AM | |
Of course I'm not. Have I ever said I was perfect? No! For example Superjazz is a far better teamplayer than I am. All I'm saying is that if I play better than you, you don't have to start making a bunch of reasons why it is so. I happened to make all of our scores and keykill half of them myself, so what! You don't have to come here babbling about some defensive stuff which you apparently "took care of" (so well actually that we lost 10-4 gg). Sometimes a player playes better than you! Please just accept it and stop making excuses.

We'd make a good team if we could fuse together our (impossible to fuse together) playing styles. Either I have to train (like hell) to play the berserk, maximum attack style, or you have to play more defensively and a lot less offensively.

Surprising result.
Looking at the yellow and black brackets, most teams haven't yet played even a single match. I hope this isn't a sign of forgetfulness, since they are going to have to hurry with their match-ups. They soon notice they got less than a week to finish all their matches. Perhaps 'flexible deadlines' will this time give them a little more of chance, but I'm still not sure if every team wakes up to play.

Red Bracket
OEDOTWHAB (Hitch/Birdie) vs. Girl Power (Ana/Sweet) Round 1: Ice Cream Island (Host: Hitch) 5-1 OEDOTWHAB Alright so this was the first round between me and Birdie vs. Ana and Sweet. It started off really slow then we start to get the groove. At about 4-0 we thought we where going to blow out, but they scored, and we got bad timing. Really bad timing. Although that happened the last point was rushed. GG. Round 2: Jungle's Edge (Host: Sweet) 5-1 Girl Power Okay, Sweet hosted this game in Jungle's Edge. We started off good with 1-0. Then we started to have some bad timing. And certain points in time I was R, on top of the flag, but when Birdie would lose the flag, they would seem to score before I could capture (Sweet in this case) most likely server advantage, but who knows. After that, we had a few 3hk's and I started to see lag clones. When we finished the game, it was 5-1, as well as 1-2 scores from a 3hk I had. Me, Qz, Sweet, and Birdie looked over the logs very well, and there seemed to be some prof of me having a 3hk but it wasn't official. Perhaps if we stopped the game to fix the scores, there might of been a fairer score (4-1 and play tell 5) but whatever. Overall, this game was very close even though the score doesn't show. ![]() Overall score: 6-6 DRAW!
