CzEcH vs. Quickz: (1-5, 5-1, 5-4)
Okay, first level was superconductor with Dragon as host. He scored the first point I think, but I quickly controlled the level and won 5-1. Then Dragon hosted BBlair. I was leading 4-2 (so I needed one more point for round 2) when CzEcH was complaining about lag. We decided to let Fox host and CzEcH really wanted to start all over again. Stupidly I agreed and lost with no chances really. Then I insisted to let Robee host the final round, All Your Base. This kinda sucked, since I had an air and ran out of seeks at 4-4. Then I had to go down (he was spamming seeks as well), he could take the car and well, I was pretty much doomed. Finished matches this far: Snooze vs. master sven: 2-5 MS, 5-0 BBlair, 5-0 SBv2 Vegito vs. Napoleon: 5-3 GW, 3-5 BBlair, 5-2 SBv2 valmango vs TUXia: 5-0 MS, 5-0 AYB CzEcH vs. Quickz: 1-5 super, 5-1 BBlair, 5-4 AYB

As Valmango said: Each duel consists out of two or three games (it's best of 3)

I think the problem of interpretation is this:
What Quickz means: the duels are best 2 out of 3, meaning that first person to win two games takes the match. This implies a score of 2-0 (2 games), or 2-1 (3 games). What some other people seem to think: they interpret the sentence "Each duel consists out of two or three games (it's best of 3)" in the following way: that it's best if the matches consist of three games. I don't think this is what Quickz intended though. On an unrelated note, Dragon and I are working on our duel, I swear. Unfortunately, the first installment of this wonderful and epic battle turned out to be a big bowl of suck, as apparently more than half of my kills were either 3hks or didn't show up on his screen, causing us to give up halfway through the duel and pray to the entities above that his connection will perform better at a later time.

PurpleJazz vs Sasik (5-4, 5-4)
Wow, this was fun. Both of these matches were extremely close, but I still just managed to pull through =P. The first level we played was JE (my choice). Sasik was leading 0-2 to start, which forced me to try much harder than I was at the time. I had to play quite defensively, as Sasik was quite aggressive at times. I got the score up to 2-2, then 3-2, then Sasik scored an equaliser. At the end the score was 5-4 to me. I kinda won by a thread, since I was would have died by Sasik's seeks and would have lost the duel if my RFs had missed. =P Was pretty lagless the whole way through, Enig hosted. The 2nd game was Sasik's choice, in AYB. This duel went much quicker than the other, as AYB is one of those levels that can rely on lucky Seeker hits. Both of us Seeker spammed to high heaven. Sasik got one rush on me earlier on in the duel, which could have been prevented but I didn't but meh. The duel was very close and exciting like the previous one, resulting the same score as last time, 5-4 to me. GG! |

Riccardo [2:0] Wielki
1st round: Swingin' jazz (Ric's choice) Ric [5:0] Wielki Pretty fast game. 2nd Round: Knightmare castle (Wielki's choice) Ric [5:4] Wielki This was a really exciting game. On 4-4 we both had 1 but I managed to get carrot and attack with 3. Alright, GG Wielki! ![]()

I'm aware of the fact that some parts of the brackets will be far ahead of other parts, but I don't really see a problem in that. Anyway, for the others: don't feel rushed, it's just to avoid problems in the next rounds. The deadline of the 21st still stands. (9 of 16 matches have been played so far)

I finished my duel vs Czech.
5-4 to me in Security Breach v2(my choice) COMMENT: I learned something new from the duel here between me and GP yesterday, so I decided that it could fit into this duel. Bad choice rather, since he was far more stronger here than I expected, although he says that he rather dislikes this level. Anyway, he took a 2-0 lead from me after playing 0-0 for a while. I then came back to 2-2 by roasting him from the same place twice(next to Seeker PU). The game would then turn 4-3 to him again, although I could have avoided those deaths. I just played risky instead. Somehow I then took the last 2 points by taking control of the main carrot. Really close. 5-3 to Czech in Knightmare Castle(his choice) COMMENT: A note that he was going for Atom Heart 243.5, until he found out that I made the level. As he then picked KMC, I was eased that I won Sb2, because I knew that KMC can be very random against anyone and I had a chance to lose there as well. It then seemed that I ended up playing too risky and carelessly because of that. He scored mainly by rushes though. 5-0 to me in Happy Semiconductor CTF(Compromise) COMMENT: I can't remember many games where I would have had as good luck as here. Sometimes my purpose wasn't even to roast him, but still he got killed accidentally. Or then I just wouldn't know he had low health. He was near to rush a score as red, but I could catch him still around the center of the level. For once he got trapped into the seeker box. Even my last kill was mega luck although I can't remember it clearly anymore. A good game overall. He was clearly more lagged than me in Slaz's server(thanks to him for hosting), but while he sometimes got aired, his lag also prevented me from killing him, once he should have died for sure. So I don't think I had such a big advantage after all. Also good luck to LB, Czech. See you on next weekend again, people! ![]()

Okay, good to hear that R3p! And congratulations to SJ for being the first to reach the QF's.
I played against Slaz since he can only play in weekends + I'm busy next weekend. He picked Battle Game XC, my pick was JE. Score: (5-1, 5-1) The 1st point in Battle Game XC took quite some time, but then points got faster. I controlled the carrot in JE while hitting him fast and predict his moves well, giving him little time to recover. He scored in both levels at 4-0. Anyway, good game. Err, VolT and Hunter, are you still alive?

I want to remind all people who still have to finish a match in the 1st round of the next two rules:
- Players can’t play on certain times because they are away, and while they’re home, an other player is gone. If there’s no way a match time can be found, contact an Official and he will try to arrange a decent time. If still no arrangement can be found, the Official will investigate which player has the most available free time spots. The player with the most free time will receive a forfeit win. - A player has left the tournament for any reason. In this case, the other player will receive a forfeit win on automatically. However, if this occurs while the leaving player hasn't played any game yet, he or she may be replaced by some other player, who didn’t came through the signup phase. Replaced people may return in the Loser's Bracket if an other player forfeits. Those people are: Sperry d. Fox: (3-5, 5-0, 5-2) Mati d. Hitch: (5-3, 5-0) Rewence vs. Nonomu198 Warrior d. Hunter: (5-0, 5-1) Squirrel d. Ktos: (5-1, 5-2) Anubis d. R3ptile: (5-4, 5-4)

I believe the amount of unfinished matches is caused rather by the lack of interest, than lack of free-time. I have probably the least free-time, or nearly the least, yet I was still the first to finish a couple of matches. I pretty much wonder why would people be so busy in September, when there aren't often really a lot of exams, etc.

Hey, I won't be able to play my match against Anubis. 9 days ago I brought my notebook back to the store, so they could repair it. It's the only computer with jj2 and I still don't have it back. So will I get kicked or can I just continue in the lower bracket?
