People always like to complain about the lag they had, when the opposition supposedly had just as much (or more) lag.
I keep taking note, day in and day out how huge an effect lag has on each and every real-time online match-up. If there were no lag (the impossible dream), I'd have had twice, thrice (or more) as much chance of winning well over 65 % of the matches I've played. |

This tournament is a huge failiure, and we're out
First things first; Mav and I leave the tournament. We haven't managed to get a single match finished, despite being online a looot.
Reasons: 1) Some teams are imposisble to reach (read: Zaba) 2) My connection has prevented me to play evening time, but still, we haven't even been able to play against people in the weekends 3) Most importantly, the tournament arranging is flawed. Why are there no backups in the teams? Why is there a ridiculously huge amount of teams in? To be honest, I only think the tournament has a slight chance of finishing because of massive forfeits. Lastly, Quickz not having made the rules himself, and not applying them fairly (that means; as they are written) has added up to my personal annoyance, which doesn't make me more eager to stay in the tournament. |

That means...that the Black Bracket will become the easiest one by far, most likely.
I don't know if just one or two backups help a lot, because it's just certain people who are inactive/unavailable at certain times. It would be better to go for a clan-tournament to have minimum amount of forfeits. You see, Red and Blue brackets are progressing well, while Yellow and Black brackets only have 1 match completed each. I wouldn't really put all blame on Quickz.

Well, I tried to arrange matches in my bracket, but the only team which took this a bit seriously and with which I could set the date was RHPS (Yasco/Sq). Still, we didn't finish our match yet =/
Wenn I set the date of our match with Dragon/Wielki, I was the only person who was online and able to play at the set time. So the problem is that some people only joins the tournament and later don't care about it. Really, no one from my opponents contacted me to set the date of our match etc. So what can I do more? It's obvious that this tournament will never end without technical wins.

Okay, so it's obvious the groupstage is failing. It's 3 days to the deadline, but I'm not gonna wait for matches that won't be finished anyway. So, that means the Final Stage (or K.O.-stage) can start now. The teams who performed well have 'easier' draws than the inactive teams. So forget your groupstage-matches and start concentrating on the K.O.-stage. Also, check out the updated rules and mappool.
First of all, 2 inactive teams are out now, which are Majorek/SkulL and speeza/crazy. That means 18 teams are left, so 4 teams should play for 2 spots in the draw: the winner of Ragnarok/PurpleJazz vs. Hitch/Birdie (I'll use the Red Bracket standings for that one) will face Squirrel/Yasco. The winner of Dragon/Wielki (who didn't show up for one match) vs. valmango/Master Sven will face Grytolle/Maverick. For other match-ups, use the link in my signature. Since this is kinda new, the deadline for the 1/8 finals will be 16 March. All the deadlines for the Upper Bracket: 1/8 Finals: 16 March Quarterfinals: 26 March Semi-finals: 6 April Final: 13 April A match now is best-of-3. So if both teams win one round, a deciding round has to be played. If both teams can't agree, the Supervisor or any Official will decide.

Yes, well, it should be easier to arrange one single match, since you can focus only on that o ne. Also, the inactive players are out now. All 'rounds' are like 1,5 weeks with at least one weeekend, so that should be enough.

Wait... Officials? What are officials for? And can we (people who are in the Upper Bracket) fight already, or must we wait for the others who aren't yet or something, or what?

I'm afraid that's the main thought in everybody. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PLAY YOUR MATCH BEFORE 9TH MARCH.

Officials: since it's now best of 3 (level team 1, level team 2, neutral level) in rounds, you'll need people to decide on a neutral level if needed. There are uhh, 5 officials, so you can ask an unbiased one. Also, they can decide together how to progress when problems occur.

The competitive scene is only distantly alive.
Anyway, I'm not one of those people who make the first effort, anymore. Too many times in the past have people turned me down for my efforts. Especially with jj2 associated stuff, lately. But I'm willing to play just about anytime. |

Isn't that the same thing? Tournaments fall because of players not playing.

Well, since Rep decided that he is "too good for me" and left the team, I dunno much about the activity. But, the fact that the team fell apart itself might slow things down. And other people dosen't seem to play any matches...
Not officialy til Quickz post it here, but yah, it's dead. Can be revived... I guess. But it's not going to happend.

y 3 people per team would've been great, because im pretty sure many more games would have been played if every team had had a backup player.

'I (R3ptile) have finally decided to quit my job as the supervisor of JJ2WC. Yasco (and perhaps Sasik?) are now the men in charge, and any questions regarding the tournament and its future should be addressed to them.'
