That's just a name. He is a creature of chaos. Just related to reapers because he uses a scythe and he has a dark cloak and some of the techniques he has not learned yet are related.

And why does fire hurt the creatures of the underworld?

I meant undead creatures, like zombies and such. In the first Final Fantasy, undead were weak against fire. I just assumed Tangent was undead since he transformed into reaper.

The reason Tangent dealt extra damage on his first hit was because he shattered L_G, in case you didn't get it.

A wheel of runes, inscripted as white lines floating in the air, appears around him and begins to turn. The wheel blurs and splits into two wheels, orbiting around Tangent. Tangent spins his scythe in the air, and it forms another, smaller wheel. The wheel expands, and blurs into another two wheels. The four wheels moved themselves into position around the four targets. They closed in... and in a flash dissapear...

Actually, all the three bosses you fought had full overdrive meters. Tangent just never had a chance to use his in the first fight, and never had a need till now.

Bulla can't do anything. Bulla loses 72 HP.

Xion rolls over in his sleep, and mumbles a few things in his sleep inaudibly. A slight movement of the earth, but nothing more.

Tanget takes out a book, and waits till the stunning on someone wears off.

So, basically, keep on taking turns untill someone is able to act.

Xion's tail twitches, as he moves a piece of rubble off of him. He yawns, stretches, and notices everybody around him, spare Tangent, is immobile. Xion looks at the piece of rubble he was under, and sees that there was a mirror mixed in. "Hm. THIS gives me an idea." Xion props the mirror up and hides behind it.

Xion rips a portal and hops in. The mirror slams, and catches Tangent's attention. Tangent, closing his book slowly, starts to approach the mirror. A portal rips behind Tangent, and Xion reappears in a new set of garb, a mirror shild, and Rach at his side.

CLASS SWITCH! Xion is now a Sage, who can use shields. That's basically all that a sage can really do. All Alchemist abilities have been replaced with Sage abilities.

SAGE ABILITIES:
Drain - Drain HP from a target to caster
Raise - Raises dead units, splash casting.
Giga Flare - High mana cost, heavy damage. splash casting.
Bio - Poisons target
Wise Combo = OVERDRIVE


For the record, I was under rubble when I was bezerked, silenced, and confused. And since there was a mirror in there, I was basically immune to the spells cast at me. Since "Reflect = sending spells back at caster" I was immune...untill I woke up. ^_^

Xion, you were immobilized also.

No. You sent Wheels of Chaos back to Tangent. Tangent's chaos iron sends the status effects back.

Now how does that work?

The chaos iron skills sends status effects that effect Tangent back to their source. That would send them back to Xion

Suprisingly, no. I myself did not send the spell back by will, it was by chance. So Tangent would be statusing a mirror.

Now that I have a mirror shileld, then NOW the Chaos Iron effect would target me.

Not at all. Since a status effect is not a spell, it cannot reflect it back. So the status ailments go to the mirror, which are then null and void upon contact.

Xion mumbles something, then reaches in his pocket for a small radio. "We got a big-bad, requesting two units for backup, we need a Gadgeteer with Blue Screw and no units that do status ailments...Try getting Soala down here, along with Nono."

Static over the radio is broken by the center. "I hear ya Xion..." a voice comes over, definitively Bangaa. "I'll sssend the two unitsss down asss sssoon asss they return." Olivar says back.

Backup will arrive in...Let's say ten posts. Believe me, if you think that my skills are nuts, wait untill you meet my support units. *grin*

L_G tries to communicate with his allies, but since they're in an alternate dimension, his plea for help is not heard. 'Darn it!' L_G thinks, 'There's only one thing to do...'

"FATE OF THE INFINITE NUMBER OF PARALLEL UNIVERSES?! I'm on my way!" Goku blurts out in his sleep. He flies off, leaving confused Chi-Chi, Gohan and Goten behind.

Tangent gets up. He holds his scythe in the air, and cuts through. A rip appears, a small wormhole, and widens. Tangent, as a warp sorceror, comes out.
Tangent called in himself from an alternate dimension!
Tangent II holds his hand out. A line of blue flame shoots out, and starts twisting in the air. Soon a spiral of the magic flame is in front of him, shimmering and shining. With a wave of his hand, the spiral breaks in it's midpoint and the flames scatter and dissapate. The air seems to darken.
All targets have their health reduced to 1!
Tangent II turns back and leaves through the wormhole, which closes.

Goku takes 800 damage!
Goku dies!

I wanted for this to be a one on three or so fight at start, but...

When you got a planeswalker from the get-go, you gotta expect these things.

A beeping from Xion's pocket. "What?" Xion says into the radio. Olivar responds. "We have sssome problemsss..." He starts. "Nono isss not available for battle." Xion, fuming, screams "We have Three units in need of a dispel...Unless you want to get your scaly tail down here, get me a Gadgeteer with Blue Screw down here now!" A sigh, then some typing. "Rain could be a good sssubssstitute for Nono." Olivar begins, stalling a bit. "He has Dispel learned at the moment." Xion smirks. "Send Rain." Xion replies, then puts the radio back in his pocket.

Xion casts Raise on Goku!
Goku has been revived!

Rach uses Rend!
Tangent takes 1628 Damage!

6 more posts. Then you have a Bangaa and a Moogle to deal with...and these two are not very happy.

Rain replies, then the radio goes dead. "Soala here, Kupo!" A tiny voice comes from the radio. "Soala, come on over! We could use a little speed." Xion says with a sly grin. "Kupo!" the voice squeaks, and the radio goes dead again. "Should be any time now..." Xion mumbles.

Two beams of light appear next to Xion. A small moogle and a large bangaa appear out of thin air. "Rain, reporting for duty!" the bangaa says. "Soala, reporting for duty!" the moogle says.
