You try to touch the Coil to the Chaos Ward, but it can't seem to get within three inches of it's surface.
You suddenly hear a drilling noise coming from the direction of the stone arena. It stops briefly afterwards. Pageclaim. |

You go to the arena. Though nobody is in sight, a large sign has been pinned into the ground.
Future site of SCHOLAR SAM'S MAGIC ACADEMY teaching any magic skill in four posts or less A stack of catalogs is in a box on the side of the sign. |

Would you be so kind as to categorize the various points on this list?
Oh, and what is the catalog made out of? |

You could theoretically categorise spells other ways; by element, Chaos/Order, offensive/defensive, but this perticular society uses these nine categories. And the catalog is paper. |
Oct 13, 2003, 07:05 PM | |
And where did the paper come from?
(Forgot to ask about Fireball, Iceball, Earthball, Noball and Waterball if it was cast, which I forget) Could Faw concievably use his healing skills to bring back forgotten memories? |

Let me explain my wonderful magic system in one large paragraph. Doll Magic includes any spell that makes inanimate things do your bidding. Though enchanting dolls, scarecrows, action figures, ect is a popular form, it also includes some telekenisis things. Enchantment is a very large group, but none of the spells can actually modify you or an enemy's HP. They generally increase an ally's skill or decrease an enemy's. Glitching only contains one spell, but couldn't fit in any other category. Though you can get it to work sometimes with extensive training, only those who are naturally gifted with it can get it to work all the time. Healing magic, as suggested, focuses on healing and raising allies. It contains a few HP draining offensive spells too. Like Glitching, Mindmagic only has one spell. It regards the control of living things by use of hypnotism(sp?). Non-elemental magic is almost entirely direct-damage. It has a few spells, like Misfortune, that are just too mean to be an enchantment. Seer magic has spells that allow you to see things that are happening, have happened, or will happen. Summoning focuses on calling things to help you. Lastly, Sux Magic is the largest category. It's not really all the spells with the word "sux" in them, it's just that all the spells... well, suck. The spells are so specific there's generally only one use for them, but if you're ever in that situation you'll be thankful you know them. Spells like "summon paint remover during Christmas" and "disable all plastic springs" are common Sux Magic skills. |

Few questions...
Where does Color Magic land? I am talking about White, Black, Red, and Blue magic-class spells. Time magic, like to distort the plane of time? (If this is mastered then NOBODY can die! Problem is: we would have to redo everything before the undo, it seems. Can we learn Grants? (Grants is a light-based technique that pierces the enemy with hundreds of arrows of light. Slow casting time.) Can we animate the Thirdnote with a spell?

Does the catalog mention anything about when the academy is supposed to open?
Check Inventory. Check HP. Check L33tz4n's HP. Have friendly - yet not paticularly essential to the game - conversation with L33tz4n. |

Something like ~500 posts.

She also agrees that it kind of sucks. |

Fine.
I hope that you will then learn that I am basically the heart of this thread and you are killing it yourself by ignoring me. One last chance. What category does Color Magic fit under? Can we learn Time Magic?

Okay, I'll give Xion ONE MORE CHANCE. First, understand that PSO and that FFTA thing are fictional, this is fictional, but they're both different fictions. No PSO. No color magic or that light thing. This is your LAST CHANCE, Xion, before I am forced to remove this thread's large intestine. This is the WIN3.1 GAME. Nothing else. Just that.

okay then...
Can any doll spells be used to animate the Thirdnote? (The struck out question does not need to be answered, however if you wish to answer it, no matter how you want, even if you want it to speed time up just, go ahead. I will not hate your answer to this question.)

And now, because I have absolutely nothing to do... a complete (maybe?) list of magic! Sorted, of course.
Doll Enchantment Dark Arts (type, School of Enchanters) Sporkmelt (spell, previously known by Araches, melts sporks, possibly variant of Burn) Don't Explode (spell, cast by Araches' Pangolin, apparently cast on the magician's boat, prevents objects from exploding) Burn (spell, previously known by Araches, couldn't be cast by Araches on the Sporkpuddle) Sporkstrudel (property, prevents objects from burning) Random (spell, target artifact causes random effects, the larger the more random) Polyjuice (spell, target artifact changes people into whatever is eaten along with it) Solidity (spell, prevents juice of target from leaking) Stoneskin (spell, known by Araches, increases defense) Bloodlust (spell, known by Araches, increases attack) Haste (spell, used by Araches, increases speed) Frenzeh (spell, used by Araches, reduces defense and intelligence to zero. The total reduced amount is added to speed, and twice that is added to attack.) TheOsamaEffect (spell, known by Araches, cast on a friendly or hostile unit with a beard, gives them a double beard) Glitching Glitching (spell, causes impossible events to stop happening) Healing Heal (spell, used by Fawriel, heals an ally) Raise (spell, used by Fawriel, raises a dead ally, difficult to cast, only can be cast once every very long time) Mind Invisibility (spell, used by gremlins, possibly belongs in Enchantment, apparently negated by translucency) Illusion (spell, creates the image of an object that's not really there, apparently negated by translucency) Non-Elemental Treewipe (fated event, wipes out all trees in an area of unknown size no matter how many existed previously) Random Defensive Stuff (category, unknown effects) Random Offensive Stuff (category, unknown effects) Seer Load Game (spell, castable by most anyone, sends all of time and space back to the last time a Save Game spell was used) Summoning Summon rusty iron bat (spell, known by L33tz4n, summons a rusty iron baseball bat. Bat is dispelled momentarily) Summon butterfy (spell, known by L33tz4n, summons nature's most useless fighting machine) Summon battlebutterfly (spell, known by L33tz4n, summons nature's second most useless fighting machine) Summon the MSN butterfly guy (spell, cast by L33tz4n, summons mankind's most useless sales pitch) Summon Water Elemental (spell, used often by L33tz4n, creates a most fearsome fighting machine indeed) Sux Fireball (spell, cast by Araches' Pangolin) Iceball (spell, cast by Araches' Pangolin) Rockball (*** *** *** *** ***) Airball (*** *** *** *** ***) Noball (*** *** *** *** ***) Sux ball (spell, cast by Fawriel, causes suxness) Mass badhurt (spell, cast by Fawriel, injures everyone) Random/unsorted The Chaos Effect. (type, seemingly can be applied to any object, unknown source) Rabies (variant of Chaos, nullifies magic) Save Game (spell, triggered by using certain objects) Teleportation (spell, used by various people, takes you apparently anywhere) (alternate title: banishment) Town Gate (spell, presumed variant of Teleportation used by Fawriel, teleports anyone nearby to any major location previously visited by caster) ...I'll finish later. |

why don't you just make your own post?
|
Oct 14, 2003, 06:15 PM | |
Infinite better not have been PMing a certain thing around to people who play this game.
Anyway, I'll fix/add to the list a bit: TheOsamaEffect Level one Sux Magic spell. Frenzeh Level two Sux Magic spell. Illusion Level four Enchantment. Remember, most spells that don't do damage are Enchantments. Solidity Physical effect. Suxball Level one Sux Magic spell. *.*Ball Level one-two Non-Elemental spell (Mages named this Non-Elemental before they discovered that they were wrong). Mass Badhurt Level two Non-Elemental spell. Seriously, this is like a steriotype non-elemental spell. Chaos Effect Level five Enchantment. Rabies Disease. Teleport/Town Gate Level one-three Enchantment. Megawarp Level five Sux Magic spell. Disable Plastic Springs Level one Sux Magic spell. Summon Paint Remover During Christmas Level two Sux Magic spell. Enchant Doll Level two Doll Magic spell. Summon Danger Muffin Level five spell, only accessable by those skilled in Summoning and Sux Magic. Telepathy Level four spell only accessable by those skilled in Seer Magic and Mindmagic. Fysics Phalure Level five spell only accessable by those skilled in Enchantment and Glitching. |

Simply find a rabid animal and let it chew on your arm for a bit. Remember though, rabid stuff only repels magic when the object isn't supposed to be rabid.
How to give an inanimate object rabies? Your guess is as good as mine. |
