Do we just have to download the .exe? If not, what else do we have to get?

as you can read in the FAQ you need quake3.
razz.exe is only a luncher that connects to the beta server for playing online.

Hey man, i was wondering...What image types are used to make the textures for the levels in your mod...i was wondering as with that program i made to make nice tileable wall textures I could make some new textures for the walls of the castle level.

its php

[script]
if($headlines == 1){
$number = "6";
$template = "Headlines";
$category="1";
include("./cutenews/show_news.php");
die();
}

$wp=fopen("http://www.eckhart.da.ru/razz/news.php?headlines=1","r");
// here you receive content of page
while(!feof($wp)) {
$content .= fread($wp,4096);

$content = str_replace ("", "", "$content");
}
fclose($wp);

$text = $content;

/* ---------------------------------------------- */
/* ------------ BEGIN PHP SNIPPET ----------------*/
/* ---------------------------------------------- */
// specify the file name - you can use a full path, or "../../" type stuff here
// if the image is not in the same directory as this code file
$image = imagecreatefrompng("./img/latestnews.png");

// specify the font size
$font_size = 10;

// in this case, the color is white, but you can replace the numbers with the RGB values
// of any color you want
$color = imagecolorallocate($image, 0,0,0);

// make our drop shadow color
$black = imagecolorallocate($image, 123,123,123);

// and now we do the overlay - the layers of text start top to bottom, so
// the drop shadow comes first

// $image - the base image file we specified above
// $font_size - Well duh. Its the size of the font
// 0 - the angle of the text - we don't want an angle, so we leave it at 0
// 55 - pixels to the right from the leftmost part of the image
// 35 - pixels down from the top of the image
// $black - the color we defined above
// "../fonts/ARIALBD.TTF" - the location on the server that the font can be found
// "Test Text" - the text we're overlaying - you can also use a variable here
ImageTTFText ($image, $font_size, 0, 16, 96, $black, "./SNAP.TTF","$text");

// Now add the actual white text "on top"
ImageTTFText ($image, $font_size, 0, 15, 95, $color, "./SNAP.TTF","$text");
header("Content-type: image/png");
imagepng($image);
imagedestroy($image);

?>
[/script]

is faster and smaller :P

You seem to have register_globals set to ON (page.php?x=y will set $x to y, not $_GET['x']). THis is a really big security threat, I suggest putting it off.

ive been watching. few days after Full Open source or Q3A becomes Freeware there will be a release for all. i could do all the prep work now, but i wana take a look at how the engin does a few things see what i can tweak alittle in that area. For main spawn area map ive been workin on it. but since quark or its compilers been acting funny been slow. but heres a few screen shots. some i did not to long ago.

1
2
3
4
5

still work in progress. this is just a General idea of what ive been pondering for a Center map.

hi McDougal i have seen a cool Quake mod!!!
it will celshade the models automaticy, i have made some screenshots of the Bones model:

http://www.razzarena.da.ru/gallery/s...s/wsw00000.jpg
http://www.razzarena.da.ru/gallery/s...s/wsw00001.jpg

maybe you can code this for razz arena, it will save a lot of work.

EDIT:
2 more screenshots:
the jazz and spaz models look a bit better like this to i think:

I like the center map thing. It highly reminds me of The Nightmare Before Christmas movie. In particular the scene where Jack finds the doors to the other holiday worlds.
