Crap. you know, I allways have an idea, then someone comes along and says ' no that's not right' or 'you can't do that' etc.
That really gets on my nerves. that and this (-) headache, stomach ache, shivering when i'm not cold, cough etc. etc.

Just so no one wonders, I was Black Ninja long before Ninja came around. ;p
Anyway, it seems ambesoftware is on a hiatus or something. |
Nov 2, 2007, 09:53 AM | |
According to the ambesoftware forums (does no one check those? Its like Baggers' project all over again), they are too busy working on side projects to raise funds for this one to constantly make updates and answer questions online.

As if you actually need money to continue programming. Maybe they really are a company. Those always seem to have weird laws.

Jerry stop. Collaborate and think.
You need money to be able to be a functioning citizen of the real world, and if the majority of your time is spent programming a bunny game and not much else you're going to need some kind of money source for everything else in the real world such as: Food, clothes, gas, bills etc. Hence when I say the funds are for the project, I mean keeping the project members off the streets. |

Whahah surely you are never entirely sure. Never. Are you?

Good to see some discussions on this Thread for once ^^.
Its true that we have to make a living as well as doing the jazz project, So if it seems like we're on another planet or something we're probably working ^^.. But the forum is still there guys, we'll answer all your questions, I promise ^^. Erlend - The project lives!

Ambe software,
As you might have noticed 99% of the previously made JJ3/fan game projects that were attempted never materialized because at one point the creators disappeared. Have you thought about doing some "pledge" (if that is legally/commercially possible for you) to release your work open source if your project might fail? (of course I hope it doesn't!)

I haven't thought about it .. but sure, if we should fail(and I have announce failure). We will release all of the Scripts, Models, Environments and all the rest. But I don't think it will come to that ^^. We may be busy, but we don't give up that easy. ^^

I am really glad to hear that. But ambesoft, you must remember our spirits are down. No high hopes for this JJ3D project.
Remember baggers getting our hopes up? Remember Slayer getting our hopes up? Remember Coolpeanutbutter getting our hopes up? Well there's a few examples of people who said they'd never quit and quit. Also, question. Is this legal? I don't care if it's not though lol. I won't tell. I just wanted to bring up an interesting point.

Drmoo, please speak for yourself unless you are speaking in the royal we, especially since I don't even know what the second project is and never had high hopes for the third to begin with. Also, the fact that Baggers never flat out quit, and the fact the project shifted its focus from JJ2 remake to brand new engine never really made me feel all that disappointed.

Whahahh FreeFull you made me LOL for some minutes.
But, after reading the first e-mail of Mark again I noticed something I hadn't noticed back when those mails were sent. He said that Epic "No longer lets outside developers make games with their intellectual properties." Maybe there is some legal way to do things like this using a time machine or things like that. ;p

Actually, Jerry's kind of on to something. The time machine idea, no lol. But I mean he said "no longer." That would mean that before the emails were sent, we were allowed to. So therefore, we can change the date-stamp on jj3D to a date what is before the emails were sent

Because you just posted that plan on a public forum where Epic would read it, maybe.

I have the best idea EVAR.
Let's leave it up to ambesoft since they are, in fact, the ones making the game. Did I blow your minds? ;p |
