You go north from the clearing. An amazing structure stands in front of you; a marble sphere at least twenty feet wide with a with a stone ring around it, slightly offset to the west, all up above you on a small monolith. Four stone blocks are placed around the structure.

The stone blocks appear to be made from stone, and are shaped roughly like blocks. About three feet high, 2x2 on top.

I have a feeling this structure should be familiar somehow. Is the ring a gear of some kind?

The ring doesn't appear to turn, and is part of the same piece of stone as the monolith.
