By supporting Jazz I would support consoles, which would be a bad thing as the console market will increase encouraging game development companies to spend more time and money which will leave me high and dry with my PC drawing tilesets for an age old game nobody plays anymore because they ahve the latest edition ona console I can't afford anyway because of the expensive (and cool) nature of wacom pads that also happen to work on PCs and not consoles...*takes a deep breath*

That was a long sentence, I proved my point

Consoles like gameboy rules when you'r going to drive a lot, like on summer vacation.
Couldn't it be nice, if you where bored on vacation, that you where able to play jazz?

Besides the plane flight was only like 2 hours, thats easy, I can pass that by just staring at the marvelous texture and complexity of the clouds passing by underneath me *dr00ls*

What has my old stomping grounds come to?

Oooookay. What is this? JJCF? Or the freegin' INA forums, where people beech on about the new Translocator being blue? Or the textures looking strange on their outdated 3d card? Or because UT2003 ISN'T UT. Just like JAZZ GBA WON'T BE JAZZ 2.

At least the game has a steady style to it, not jumping between cartoony and semi-realistic. Devan's remix kinda reminds me of Lord Helmet in SPACEBALLS, kinda. "I was right... I AM SURROUNDED BY (-)!"

Face it folks. The reason that Jazz GBA doesn't look like Jazz 2 is because... well... it's a completely different game. And that's good, as a direct port of Jazz 2 would result in absolutely NO sales (Admit it). And as someone else said earlier (Couldn't be bothered checking who) it's been a long time since a GLIMMER OF HOPE FOR a new Jazz game. And when one's announced, you all (-) (/) (/).

And OF COURSE it's meant to be like a Starwars rip-off. Starwars is pretty much a parody of itself nowadays, a barely-moving target. So why not let the Jazz team take a few pot-shots?

Geeez, some people... *bangs head on desk*

We don't think it's a port. But a REAL sequal would be nice, not a game with the same worlds but with another hero. A bit like Metal Gear Solid 2. A sequal with a new hero, that's just... crap.

About your toher thing: So you mean we shouldn't take a look at the game and say if we like it? Just think "Oh, they make a nother game, it doesn't matter if it's good or not because it's another Jazz game, a game we were hoping for"? I don't think so.

Blaze, handhelds rule, but I think a PC is betetr than a console. Easier to get updates etc, plus Online Gameplay isn't some extra goodie.

Well, in some way's it is. Besides, a GBA is more portable than a laptop. And since this an exsclusive adventure on the GBA (I dont think it'll be all Jazz 2 tile sets...of course) I'm thourghly interested in it.

Derby: Content/Context/Filter bypass edit. Stop with the offenses.
Enough bypasses there?

- UT2K3 isn't like UT because it's a sequel. This is not a true sequel.
- Jazz has a style to it. ;P
- Jazz 1, 2, and 3 are completely different games. Nobody whines that Jazz looks bad in any of THEM. Because he ISN'T. Jazz keeps his design, which is the best choice and the choice they should have made, imho.
- A direct port of JJ2 would have resulted in no sales? I think you're deluding yourself. Mario advance was essentially a direct port of the SNES game. It made plenty of sales. Not to mention, I'd rather have a JJ2 port than some green rabbit who has the same name.
- "Of course it's meant to be like a Star-War's ripoff?" JJ1, JJ2 and JJ3 were not. So since there's no Star War's ripoff JJ games, this new one HAS to be?? Brilliant, logical anology, Mr Spock. As for the Jazz team taking a few 'pot shots', this ISN'T the original Jazz teams. Nobody, not even the creators of Jazz, have anything to do with the project. I'm sure the original people wouldn't have changed it into Star Wars.

I wouldn't want a port. However, if they kept the character design of Jazz, and everything else was different, I'd be happy. Not to say I'm not happy because of this.

Whoa, top story at Yahoo! News:

"Congress Opens 3-Day Debate on Jazz Jackrabbit for GBA"

Rumsfeld's even quoted as saying: "YOU SU><ORS ... [you] SCREWED UP TEH JAZZ JACKRABBIT"

Check it out.

How do you know this would be true? Do you think that we Jazz fans are the only fans there will ever be? If so, than yeah, I'm not interested in buying Jazz 2 all over again just cause it's on GBA. But by being on GBA it would get a lot more attention, and there are all the console people who never played Jazz games because they don't like PC games, or they just didn't care about Jazz before but on GBA it works. I think Jazz 2 would get great sales on GBA, but it should also be TSF, Lori should be fixed to not be so useless, and it should include different levels maybe or something different. And, it doesn't even matter if it's on GBA or if it's Jazz 2 or a new Jazz game - it needs advertisement. That's what makes the difference.

Ofcourse I also can't say that making this Jazz game THIS way is appealing to Jazz fans, because it seems like it isn't to most people. But we have to give it a chance. We have to support Jazz and be glad he's got a new game, and maybe, just MAYBE it won't suck.

Quote:

Exactly. Are we just going to complain about a new game for Jazz? We have to give these people some credit. And as I said, maybe Epic was only willing to let someone make a game based on Jazz Jackrabbit as long as it was REALLY different. But, by the looks of things, this company may also want to get rights from George Lucas.

Ofcourse we are talking about this because OMG a new Jazz game is coming out, and OMG what have they done to Jazz! But it's too early to say, and maybe it will be good overall for this community and the future of Jazz. Who knows?

And I personally think Jazz could use a new look, but not a Han Solo new look.

Simon belmond (CastleVania) agrees

"Its just not jazz jackrabbit"

Even the Duke replied with the statement after he got bashed by Jazz in QoB:

"I will not fight agian till Jazz is Jazz."
He will remain there waiting till Jazz is Jazz

So the jazz fans got angry and started to fight! with the message:

"We want Jazz Jackrabbit!"

Blizzard got raged because Jazz is just not Jazz and sended there vikings once agian.

"Thats just not Jazz Jackrabbit!

Even the old Jazz got pretty sad about this event

"Why me?"

Someone said that the original team had nothing to do with it. Somehow, I remember Cliffy say something along the lines of "WE" wanted to revamp Jazz.
Meaning he was involved.
Now, if Cliffy invented Jazz, and likes the idea, we should just wait until it's released to ***** about it.

The fact is Cliffery B said he doesn't want to lose his job. So he really isn't doing it for us. More to keep is job. I mean I don't blame him. Cuz I don't work to better the world or some crap like that. I work to make money.

So fine Cliffery B wants to make money and not move back into his mom's basement. Fine. But before you move back into your mom's basement.

Page 4....almost a General Jazz 2 Talk forum record, as sad as it is =P

At school today I went around writing "FI><0RS TEH JAZZ JACKRABBIT!" on everything...desks, bathroom walls, other people's homework, and my (/) (no). Anyway, I'M SPREADING THE WORD NOW! Now everyone's has heard of Jazz2 and they think I'm a complete idiot (what else is new).

NOW FI><0RS IT!!!!11 dog.`

Derby: Carried context removal.
