I think the gradient looks fine, it just doesn't go with the ground all too well.

So far I don't see people particularly excited about this tileset... that means we will either have to get to work with KBoutR's and TB's tiles (which pretty much clash style-wise?), or either I will have someone to draw some random tiles and we would work on them. Just let's do anything, I don't want this to become the second September and I'm pretty sure no one else does.

Aaah, hold it, hold it! I can try to draw some ground tiles.

Anyone like the idea of cartoony style?

Yes, I back the idea of a cartoony style for this set 200%.

Remember our inspiration is coming from what is essenitally a WB cartoon in comic form.

Am I the only one who really reads "Intergalactic Redneck Bar" in comic four instead of 'Repneck'?

Aw crap, I completely forgot that I sort of promised some ground tiles.. but my attempts right now don't seem to be bearing any fruit, really..

EDIT: To be more exact, this is my best attempt so far.. ..it looks sort of pretty, but is definitely useless for a tileset.
Sorry.

Which could be a referrance to Chris, being called a Redneq in the famous 'hidden' sprite.

Woohoo! Frost, discoverer of the Intergalactic Redneck Bar!

*cough*

Paul, those ground tiles look nice, but it sorta lacks the cartoon style... I like it, though, and wouldn't mind too much if we continued with that... Although more people would have to agree for me to use those and make new tiles...

I think thats the point. The p looks like a Flipped and Mirrored d. It might be Nick poking fun at people making words seem "sci-fi" by just changing one or two letters of a normal word. Maybe.

I also like Faw's tiles.

Compare "D" to "p"... They don't differ much... It could be just a little too quickly drawn...

I'll just keep calling it Redneck because Chris is a redneq!

Nick has a fairly consistant handwriting style, I don't any of his D's have that line seen in the Repneck logo. Or it could 'Rep'neck for 'Red'neck 'Rep'tiles.

... They have Cola Beer! I want some at my local bar.

But if it was rock, why would the gift be of any significance?

There's only one answer: It's made of PLASTIC. I vote for Faw's tiles, even though the acid colors would burn out the player's retinas after a bit.

Yes. re comic.

Quote:

Its a primitive form of ground lichen; it covers the entire ground in a leafless monocolored matt of vegetation about an inch thick and feels like soft linoleum.

Jazz should be aware those rocks contain rhodium ore and are thus worth approximately $500 a gram.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually like the idea. Although Greek temples don't particularly fit in there. Something similar would be cool and could catch the plateau-y appearance of the planet.
