Even if it's not "true magic", with it's amount of uses, glitching should really be a Sux Magic spell...
I can't pull up the trading post or invintory screens because they're on my other computer. Uberbob has about 6HP, L33tz4n has about 4. Go find their spells yourself. Even if the monk said there was only one book, you could not glitch it because you never actually proved Trafton had one. But it doesn't matter, because there is more than one. You save. You walk to the merpeople with the book. You load. Bwahahaa. Now heed my advice, durnit! And look, I claimed myself a page! |

Look around through Seer Orb for any nearby invisible forces. |

The Snufuss Cloak is greenish-blueish-white. I have no idea what robe you are referring to, so I'll say it's the color "drugs".
You look around through the Seer Orb. Everything here seems to be visible. There are only so many non-magic things in this world that are invisible. And yes, anything enchanted to be invisible is magic. |

Take deep breath, push chaos grape into throat, give l33tz4n the grape and coil (let her keep the coil), and go past the ward to get the book.
Try to hit the ward with the book from behind, or maybe analyze the back of the ward with the book. If we can't analyze the back of the ward with the book, try going to the chasm and using the book there to maybe find some things. If nothing is found, return to l33tz4n, and not choke on the chaos grape.

Would wings work within water?
|
Oct 21, 2003, 05:05 PM | |
No. These are special wings that don't work underwater.
And how do you analyze stuff with a book? You should simply pretend this is the riddles thread and make a big list of what you KNOW, and then it'll be easy to find the unknowns. |

How about butterfly wings?

okay...
SAVE GAME. I'm gonna save our peeps. Have Shuri and Faw take a deep breath. Have Shuri take Faw down into the deep, specifically next to the rift. Then have them follow the path to the ward, where they will meet up with Uberbob and L33tz4n. Then faw will quickly cast Town pipe up to the Middle Place Spot (betwx the LPS and UPS) with the rest of the party. This way, we will not only have a path down to the deep, but also have our party whole again!!! ^_^

They might float for a little while, but eventually would become soggy and waterlogged and sink.
Really, just assess the situation creatively. Look at the crystal ball's prediction, items for trade, and your invintory. That's the last hint I'm giving here. I'm betting Xion gets it first. Invintory: -Wings -Thirdeighteennoteevenbettercitrusfruityflyingfully clotheductscraptlegalfourseatsestrudelire -Chaos Grape (in throat) -Dollar -Pandora's Car Key -Seer Orb -Chaos Coil -Fawfaw's Special Recipe Nocake (Item Lock) -Wafflepieces -KeyInACloak -Druid Robe -Sea Lemon -Lacrosse Stick of Doom -Pearldiver's Knife -Bookmark of Eternity -Dirt -Book of Gerbil -Masking Tape |

yell at me for using my trademark ability on this, but...
We may be able to glitch the lasers. Think about it: Even if they are photon based (which I am guessing is what they are, since 99% of lasers are photon-based) they have to have some kind of opening for the photon energy to come out. And in order for the photon energy to come out, there has to be some kind of object inside that creates the energy. Shouldn't the water get onto this object, when electrified, and short it out? And if they get shorted out, then they can't shoot. And if they can't shoot, how are they going to kill us? Glitch: Merpeople's Lasers.

O.O IT JUST HIT ME!!!
I have to incorporate some FFTA logic into this, so bear with me. A move in FFTA makes damage without actual physical touch. "merpeople, having lasers knocked out of their hands by an invisible force" made me think: If we actually apply this technique to the merpeople themselves, maybe their lasers, we may have the answer. Then I thought "how can I render air to do my bidding?" and it hit me. WE'RE UNDERWATER! So we do this. Summon an MSN butterfly, and have it flap it wings so that it pushes the water twoard the merpeople. This force may knock them down, knock the guns out of their hands entirely, or maybe knock them into the rip. Boy am I smart. ^_^

Note that in the crystal ball the lasers were knocked out of the merpeople's hands but the merpeople themselves were unnaffected. |
