I sort of remember Finland beating Poland in the last second of the last game but I am not all that positively sure anymore. It could as well have been a team battle tournament. I somehow remember some the Netherlands Vs. Finland sort of game too but yet again I am not positive. It might be me starting to mix up matches....

Seems like Sperry replaced Robee, Sasik

Those are the 3 matches that have been played so far Gry. Unfortunately I don't have any of the screenshots anymore, since they went with the old hard drive. Sorry about that.

We can only hope that another supervisor (Emp/Sasik/Veg) or some player still has them.

I guess you're not confusing with matches, since I can remember something like a FIN vs POL has been played too. But then I thought, that it might have been played in the original National Tournament, Emp's edition. Sounds plausible?

Heh, idd Sasik.

Alright friends, you may now begin entering your teams, if you have managed to find a minimum amount of players already(4.)

The mappool remains the same, and all the rules as well. Once I've got the teams, you can begin arranging your matches. Deadline for those 3 matches has been set to April 30th for now, but will be shortened or delayed depending on when we're going to get this started.

For now...

Veg, Chiyu, DS and Quickz for the Netherlands.
If we don't make it with this I suppose we can get FawF00l, Sweet, CelL or whoever is able to play at that moment. Even Anakin. I mean, we can choose all Dutch players anyway and there are enough of them.

Why don't we have a tourney to decide who are the best (Team) Players?

I think we should not let just someone that plays in the tourney himself (also goes for other teams) decide (partly) on his own who participate in the tourney, but we should inform ourselves about who are interested to play for it and let them play a small tourney and then let people who are not playing on the same team (or stats) decide who are the best to be in the national team(s). In this way quality and skill > settled names.

It should be quite simple. You use the best line-up as possible of those players you have available when a match is about to be played. Not all the players from the country are able to play at a certain time always anyway. I can add you for NL's squad too though, MSven. ;p

POL~Team is ready. For now it's Maverick, Sperry, Sasik, Warrior, Dragon, Mati, Robee, Fox, Ktos, Lejdi

However, I think we might use every polish player.

So, just contact me or Sperry whenever Finland will complete its team.

All the teams look fine now. Remember that you(clanleaders) are allowed to add any more players from your country that you may still find until the Semi-finals. The tournament is ready to get continued again. At least the following matches should be played during the upcoming weekend:

Finland vs Poland
The Netherlands vs United Kingdom

Finland vs The Netherlands should be played as soon as possible too, but it could be likely played on April 10th-12th. The absolute deadline for all of these 3 matches is April 30th.

You may now start arranging match times for your matches. Guess I will try to contact Sasik soon as well.

2 matches have been arranged for this weekend by now. I tried to make the times to look clear for everyone playing.

Finland vs. The Netherlands - 04/04/09 ~18:30 GDT (19:30 for The Netherlands, 20:30 for Finland)

Finland vs. Poland - 05/04/09 ~14:00 GDT (15 for Poland, 16 for Finland)

@St.Louis: Should be no problem if you can't play on Sunday, we got a substitute for that pretty surely. If you don't mind. :P

So two matches for Finland. I'm expecting for NL vs UK to be arranged soon as well.

Okay.
In JE our team was quite a bit better at the start. It started to get more even throughout the game, and at one point Nerd had such an incredible luck/timed score. It was more luck than timing however. Lol. Either way, we ended up with a nice lead.

BBlair was a lot harder however. We ended up losing 1-0 immediately as I couldn't get flag with 3 and nor could Quickz. Either way, after that we scored 1-1 fast again, but once again they got a 2-1 lead. I was expecting to lose as for some reason I couldn't stay alive at all at first nor get ammo or whatsoever. We kept being on low health and made a lot of mistakes. We managed to keep up and squeeze some scores though with good timing. That's exactly the point Finland kept failing at generally. 8-4 seriously is far against the game play. They were RTS a lot. I think I personally played damn bad at the start, and had bad luck 3 or 4 times too at first. After that I got ammo more often and RTSing got easier too I must admit. Did have some nice timing and luck too scoring.
JE I never really felt like we were under pressure, unlike BBlair where we were under pressure all the time.

My take on this is that it would've been a whole lot closer had QZ not just bounced without getting hurt whenever (and that means whenever) I shot him.

Had little to no problem roasting tom and veg, though.
