Fixed..sorry bout the complexity....Ill have to make it easier somehow...not sure how though !

Found a bug !...the filetypes must be lowercase eg. ".bmp" not ".BMP"

=====================================

1) Copy the image you want (the carrot)
2) Open the directory with the editor in and go into the folder named particles, paste the image there.

3) Load my level editor
4) click place entity - click particle Source

5) Click Set texture
6) Click the up arrow until you see you carrot

7) Setup the values

No particles arnt 3D...they just always face the camera, it generaly is used for fire and such...the carrot was just because it was requested as an example !

Just out of interest, how complicated did you find it ...have you got a reasonable grasp of it yet ?

-EDIT-

Heres a zip with some more particles for you to play with I found them on free sites which was cool.
http://www.unseenconcept.net/JazzJac...aParticles.zip

Have a try at these effects they are pretty cool ! Just pick the texture and set the values to what you see in the pics.

This is nice!

I found a bug: Enter a large value (4 digits) in any field. You can no longer edit that field. You can't backspace, delete, etc. It essentially "locks" that field until you close and re-open the editor.

Is it possible to set negative values for speed and acceleration?

Very cool. And easy to use once you understand what everything does.

Hi guys. I just wanted to keep you up to date on the status of the jazz model. He still isn't finished, and I'll have to wait until I download an update to my modeling software before refixing the UV map (I lowered the polycount a bit and now the UV map needs retweaking).

I saw Johnny's model when I did a google search. He did an awesome paint job on that thing! I was blown away. I'm inspired. Someone should post the image here, it is looking really good.

The game is looking nice too. LOL, I'm salavating in expectation.

Jazz model. Uv map a little messed up...

Nice, but he looks like he's on crack (too happy :P) and the green parts should be a bit textured.

Yeah its still very wip hence the lack to texture on the green bits...When Jonny saw Hares model he was impressed so he said he'd like to try a different kind of style for the texturing, so this is his interpretation !

http://razz.eckhart.da.ru/baggers/index.php?page=skin

i have made this little script thingy so you dont have to seek for a image host.

you must save the file as jpg so dont submit the BMP.

i took the model and made it celshaded maybe i can use it in razz arena, but i want to see more of that other model to.

i think this will help a lot of you making a skin:

Oops!

I actually plan to change the UV map though. I'm going to have a larger area on the bitmap for his face, and change some things around so I can get higher pixel resolution for the parts that need it more.

And the model version I sent wasn't boned yet. I heard someone say that GameSpace doesn't allow changing the UV map after bones have been put into place, so I was going to get the UV map finished first.

Other than the smile which looks odd(maybe it looks better from a different angle?), I have to say I love that texture work. It gives me the same trippy feeling I get from playink the first Jak game(which is a good thing).

Im working on some code to generate textures for walls...before as you saw i could only use one tile for an entire wall, so im writing a program to randomly generate textures to be used on walls !

It should be ready by the end of tonight !

Just completed the texture generator. This is designed to solve the problem i previously had with walls looking boring as i could only texture them with one tile repeated over and over again.
eg: Here

How however i put the tiles i wish to use in a folder within my program and it will randomly generate a seamless texture for a wall.
This piccy only shows tiles of the same size (the slight graphical error at some joins is just me be too lazy to trim the tiles correctly)

whereas this one is made of various tiles of different sizes.

Im pretty pleased with this actualy !...i may incorperate it into my level editor for jazz so nice wall textures can be made on the fly.

Well, that's definetely better-looking than before. Variety is a good thing

I'm wondering though, that texture-generator, does it only work if all images it uses as its "feed" are the same size or can we use images of different sizes? Some tiles are just part of a larger "block", like the 4-tiles blocks in the castle wall.

As long as the pixel size of the larger tiles in a multiple of the smalest tile...eg for jazz each single tile is 32x32 pixels, so valid sizes for bigger tiles are ones like 64x64, 32x64, 96x32...so yeah it can handle bigger tiles !
