Specifically the map-based combat system (e.g. http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showp...postcount=6828) that we hope to eventually get working right.

Hm, I don't think I ever put those face graphics in that link in the art forum D=

Hey kids, guess what! Mr. Radium is BACK with more sprites! This time they aren't for Tales of Uberbob's epic battle system, but a MINIGAME that will hopefully be completed sometime early this week.

Here is Uberbob, shown next to his Battle Engine sprite and his Adventure Map sprite from the thread (an updated version of the original sprite). I accidently overwrote his breathing animation after I exported it to the game. And yes, he frequently switches what side of his body his robotic limbs are on.

L33tz4n. This is the first time I've ever done a walk cycle for a snake. It didn't turn out too bad, IMO. Also, she's cold and shivering. It makes more sense in the game, or if you have an icy looking forum skin.

Fawriel. This was one of the first I made, so I got better at hair and cloth in the later ones. I still like his run cycle the most, though.

Shuri. This one's probably my favorite overall.

Araches. Her ears can pass through the hat because the hat is a magical, semi-permeable membrane.

So, any comments, flames, donations, the usual?

This is so weird. I randomly clicked on the Squint Your Eyes link in my favorites list and you just happened to have updated the thread for the first time in like forever. Freaky.

Anyway, good job. Shuri's is awesome.

EDIT: Wait, where's Fooruman? D=

I don't like Arache's movement. It looks like a run, but is at the speed of a walk.
Everything else is good, especially Uberbob's kick.

Thanks@everyone. And I noticed that too, Noob, but I really didn't want to redo it after I managed to finally get the wavy tail thing right.

Hmm, I was originally leaving him out for consistency, since this thread seemed to be mostly the initial cast and he didn't join until they got to Antifoo Isle. But since he (and, by proxy, the Canoe) have become a fairly major player I'll throw him in as well.

Fooruman, and his magical canoe.

@Crimi: Yay! I'm inspirational!

@Dev: =D! I wanted to make Fooruman's ridiculously overdone. Risp suggested the leaves.

@Faw: Noob already answered this; I don't see why I'd give them toes when I already left out fingers, necks, and shoulders.

Those animations are very nice and smooth.
I'm guessing that one day, you'll be working for Epic on a professional Uberbob game.
