A Few Questions About Christmas Chronicles and TSF
Okay, so I've been trying to decide which version of JJ2 to get, and I've spotted that JJ2:CC seems to be the latest and most complete version, so I have a few questions about it:
1. Which JJ2 isn't it compatible with? 2. What does it have that TSF doesn't? And 3. What does TSF have that CC doesn't? |

CC is basically a Christmas-themed version of TSF. This means it will run TSF levels and save TSF levels in its JCS. However, JJ2+ only supports normal 1.23 and TSF, so CC isn't supported. The only main things you'd get from CC are the levels, tilesets, and music files from the Christmas Chronicles episode.

Also, beware of the LK Avalon TSF version (also happens to be more common than the original TSF) which isn't actually compatible with plus, although some people themselves have managed to hack (is that the right word?) into the address code to make it compatible.

Also, you cannot join 1.23/TSF online servers with CC; only other CC servers. Seeing how there are practically zero CC servers (maybe one if a blue moon occurs on Friday 13th), you will not be able to play online. Therefore, I wholeheartly recommend you get TSF and not CC.

I even hosted a CC server during christmas 2010 and got rarely joined by unknown randoms during it's short uptime.

Okay, thanks, guys. I've got TSF, and I'm enjoying it. Too bad it's the LK Avalon one. Oh well, I've got a workaround and I've got plus. So, all is good. I think I might get CC at some point in the future maybe(For Tilesets, Music, and levels). So, can a Mod/Admin please close this thread(It's served it purpose and any further post will probably be spam)?

You can get the tilesets and music in various J2O uploads, such as this one. The levels aren't bad, though, and you do get a snazzy snowy green menu to watch, so it's up to you. Assuming that is that you can find it to buy in the first place.

I know somewhere to buy it, but the website's got a .cz at the end of it. Anyone know what language that is?
I do like the sound of the Green Background . And new levels can only be good news. So, I'll get it one day. If I can only get an answer to the above question(In this post). |
