The aliigator was either very weak or Radium is very mean, because nothing remains of it. You instead, continue down the tunnel until you reach a large open room. A single stone pedestal stands in the center, with a sky blue orb on it. A small orange-yellow crystal also lies on the ground next to it. You can't help but notice the ancient carvings in the walls around you...

Attack the carvings with Pandora's shoe

You take the orb and crystal, and evidently it was rigged because you find the bloody remains of your body filled with darts that were mounted in every part of the wall. Game has been loaded from the save point, and I even automatically thwapped the Alligator for you. Aren't I nice? Now, this time around pay more attention to the blissfully obvious hints I give you in the form of gif files.

Turn off Flashlight.
Lose Flashlight.
Heal Fawriel.

Well blind men can find their way through a maze by audial answers and a nice, solid WALL.

Xion beat unknown. Unknown's commands were quite irrelevent and pointless, also, considering we already loaded the game before Fawriel was killed.

Orb: The swirly sky blue orb is round, hence the name "orb". Not much else can be said from your current knowledge of it.

Crystal: The yellow orange crystal is angular and pointed, hence the name "crystal". Not much else can be said from your current knowledge of it.

Pedistal: The stone pedistal has the orb sitting on it. It looks strangely like the pedistal pictured in the carvings. You don't know the pedistal's purpouse, or why the crystal and orb both aren't on it, but it gives you a headache thinking about it.

The party joins up with Fawriel, but can not go farther because this perticular path ends in this room.

Hey, it wasn't obvious for me! I thought it had something vaguely to do with Pacman!

Get everyone out of the room

Throw pandora's shoe at the orb

Control: Araches.
Cast Haste on Fawriel until magic is depleted.
Control: Fawriel.
Take Orb, Crystal and Pedestal.
Run away fast.
Control: UberBob.

Violet, Haste can only be cast once on a person. Pandora's shoe bounces harmlessly off the orb, landing next to the carvings.

Retrieve shoe, check inventory.

Sit down moodily and glare at nothing.

Attach Rubber Tire to back of Snufuss Coat using Duct Tape.
Take Orb and Crystal.

It seems that if you move the crystal in the carvings it activates the trap.

The pedistal can not be dislodged. You have the odd feeling that the ancients made this device foolproof, in more than one way. It can't be fooled and fools can't figure it out. At least Xion ALMOST had the right idea, but misinterpeted it and everybody died on step five. Game has been loaded, alligator smashed, party summoned.

Ask Araches to cast Haste on Fawriel.
Tell Fawriel to replace the Orb with Pandora's Shoe.
Hope they weight about the same.

If Pandora's Shoe thrown at full force could not budge the orb, do you honestly think they weigh the same amount? You're a bit farther than Xion, though. What, you think this will be the HARDEST puzzle in this game? Or in this cave?

Now, this is the tricky part...

While grabbing the nearest shiny thing (crystal or orb), Cast Town Pipe and Go back to the Trading Post to rejoin party.

If done simoutaniously, the arrows will just hit air since fawriel grabbed the crystal and warped out before the arrows launched.

Walk around pedestal.
Cut darts into tiny pieces with dagger.
Make sure nobody is where the darts usually land.
Take Orb.

Going with what Acid said because you are all thinking WAY too hard.
The orb is already on the pedestal, so you take the crystal. You note that upon lifting the crystal you see the bones and muscle inside your hand through the crystal's surface.
