More beach-like! The beach tiles, too. Thanks to filters though, I'm not experienced enough to know if that'll create any problems of any sort? Yes, dopefooruman sucks. EDIT: I find out now that PSP decided to unleash anti-aliasing upon the dopefish. I hate PSP. Fixed now. I did not bother to apply the change to Fire_Byrd's set of tile transitions since the way it's layed out with all sorts of duplicates makes no sense at all and since it seems way too illogical to make tile transitions this early on to bother with it.

Uhm.. I'd like to make some beach ground tiles, but they won't really fit in with the existing ones.. would it pay off to make yet another ground type? ( On a side note, the current ones look a lot like rocks to me. Or at least quite pebbly sand. )

Looking at my sand edit later, I'm not sure if it's an improvement at all..

There it is, the new ground of cookie dough. ... fine sand. I'm sorry, I don't have the nerve anymore to insert it into the tileset and replace other tiles with these and make more tiles of this sort and stuff... but I will. Just not now. In retrospect, I think it could use more contrast................. EDIT: Heh. Now that I look at it closely, it doesn't even tile nicely.. you can see the grid and everything. I guess I'll edit it again.. EDIT2: Didn't find better colors.. fixed the tiling, though. ..I think.

At first I thought it really looked like sand, but after Mike said that all I can see is pizza. I think the shading needs work near the edges to look less sharp.
Also, I think someone should make the rocks gray. It would go with the oceanyness better.

Did somebody mention pirates? This would make a good decoration for the background- one would fly by occasionally. At first I was trying to make it look like a sailing ship flying on jet boosters, but then I realized how freaking hard rigging and sails are to draw.

If the dopefish was intelligent enough, he'd be offended by the hat and beard you gave him. ;p

FSP2 is going to rule your world ;)
Fooruman needs to be redrawn into an old man of the sea. That would be fun to look at.

Transition tiles fixed Edge-tiles and removed duplicates

byrd, if you look at tile 4,5, you'll notice you're using an outdated texture.

Would this make a good "old man of the sea"?

Also, the next version of the tileset really should have my ship in it. I didn't just make that image to show off. I was (and am) just too lazy to add it to the tileset.

Second off, July is a small tileset, and adding this in allows people who like the green ground(Yes, I know there are other people who actually like it and would rather it stay in, GASP!) to edit it more without the limitations of LMAT Ver.1(In which you could only submit one tile a week).' EDIT- Arrr me buckos, Risp's Pirate Zepplin has been added to yon tileset, yohoho! THE GREEN CAVE WILL NEVER DIE! WHEEE HEEE HEE! --Birdie |

So, go with the old or the new beach tile? I'm talking about the original tiles. Faw's tiles look good, too, btw.
EDIT: that does not even answer my question, fire_byrd.

It would be easiest to do that
EDIT: Note: Did not change textures yet just added my edit to transitions

I thought we were going to use both?
*shrugs* I CAN try to mess with the colors of my sand a little more, I guess.. *sigh* Although it seriously doesn't look bad if you actually build something with it.... *will maybe add an example of it* ..and it's COOKIE dough. >O EDIT: Meh.

Add my avatar to the tileset. It's an edit of the rain block for heavier rainfall.
