Frost. Need I continue?

Hey, people. The name's Frost de Vries (That'd make Frost Frost translated to English... 'cool'. Get it? Cool? Oh, I'm chillin' now. You don't care..? That's cold... PUN-FEST!). The nickname CrimiClown is a play on the Dutch term 'CliniClown', clowns who are assigned to cheer up children in the hospital... so... a CrimiClown would be someone who cheers up criminals in jails. Yay!

Appearances:

(Note: I just shaved. I tend to keep a goatee.)

Well, about myself... Frost or CrimiClown will suffice when talking to me. I was born in the UK on 25-09-1989, moved to evil Dutchieland when I was one and a half years old, grew up Dutch and English... Well, nowadays, I share a few classes in school with DarkSonic (the one from J2O of course), though I'm a bit older... but that's just because I didn't pass class twice in a row. I know. I should study more.

For a living, I give beer to people and more beer to drunk people. Correct, I am a bartender. However, the business my family runs is kind of doomed to die, which really is too bad because that'd mean we would lose our home. Yay! Back on the road again!

About what I like to do, eh... I'm one of those people who likes to try a bit of everything... What I love doing most, though, is animating, drawing, making music, dancing, singing, travelling, directing and a bit of gaming every now and then.

Music, you say. I certainly do have a soft spot for music. If possible, I listen to music. All the time. Jazz and 70's disco would be my preferred genres, if I had to pick, but I listen to virtually everything. I'm also in a band called Oldschool, which is, though it may not be the most original name, quite popular with the locals. We covered a few songs, mostly classics, but now we're actually writing classics. Also, though I'm saying so myself, I can dance fairly well, from waltz and tango to breakdancing and jumpstyle... though I sometimes wonder if jumpstyle should be considered dancing... but that's a matter of opinion, anyway.

I own a few computers (of which none are worth mentioning), a Sega Megadrive III, a Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and a Nintendo DS... As you can see, I've never really spent much time and money on new Sega consoles, but that was mostly because a lack of funds. The Sega Megadrive still gets used at least once a day, by none other than myself. I find myself addicted to playing Sonic the Hedgehog I, II and III, as well as classics such as Golden Axe, Kid Chameleon and Columns. As for my DS, I've modded it to take all roms, so a lack of games is out of the question.

Now here comes some more personal stuff, so those of you who can't handle a man's life story, turn around immediately. Well... I'm 17½ years old now, I've had a girlfriend for 20 months starting at March 2005... so you do the math, we broke up a few months back. Long story short, I didn't want to fulfill her needs. I gave her plenty and went really far, but I have said before we got in a relationship: "I don't want to have intercourse before marriage." She respected that, and at one time, even I seem to have crossed that line myself (Thou have given me this seductive woman!), though fortunately enough, I got too nervous to perform. Though we're "supposedly" good friends now, according to her, she seems to ignore me a lot and seems to have fun spending time with her new boyfriend, who happens to be a friend of mine. Not only does it bother me that he's 27 year old (11 years older than her), but the fact that she broke up with me because a lack of 'intercourse'... well, I'm not to judge, but she already had several boyfriends to fulfill those needs...

Deep scars on a funky clown. Frost, out.

This was clearly intended to be a serious thread. Please stop posting nonsense.

I'm Link a.k.a. Christopher. I'm 19 years old and live in Calgary, Canada. I'm currently studying Geophysics at the University of Calgary. I'm an atheist and libertarian. I play rhythm/music games, particularly In The Groove (ITG), DrumMania, beatmania, and sometimes DDR. I don't own my own car, but have access to one, and infinitely prefer the standard transmission. I still live at home (which has its pros and cons) but will move out eventually. I plan to go to graduate school after I finish my undergraduate degree, possibly to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. I have no reason to post my specific computer stats, but I have my own laptop (Apple iBook G4) and desktop PC. I own a Playstation 2 and have recently been playing Kingdom Hearts. I have blond curly hair, am about 5'9", and weigh 170lbs. I have no piercings but that could change eventually. I do not consume any caffeine and am most likely lactose intolerant. I like Vietnamese food and eat it at least once a week. I'm quiet and shy but have an interesting sense of humour. I'm a 4th generation Canadian (i.e. all my grandparents were born in Canada) with mainly British origins.

General:
I'm Tik (aka Spaztic and other variants), but my real name is Chris. I'm a few months shy of 21 and live outside of Toledo, OH. I'm currently in the process of saving up money to immigrate to Australia where I will marry my fiance, Ella. I'm 5'9" (1.75 meters) tall and weigh about 160 lbs (72 kg). I've got shortish brown hair and blueish greenish eyesishish. My left eyebrow is peirced and so is right side of my lower lip. No tattoos or plans for any yet.

Religion:
Grew up with tons of Christian influences; currently don't subscribe to any doctrine over another. I believe in bits and pieces.

Schooling and future:
Graduated from high school in 2004, dropped out after a year of college. I'll probably return to school at some point for programming, music, or something else.

Work:
I've had several jobs, currently I'm employed by several temp agencies that have not given me any assignments recently. I've worked at a major airport freight hub, a steel treatment factory, and a factory that produces cookwear most recently.

Video Games:
Not a big deal to me, but I enjoy them. Not concerned about having a great gaming computer or a new console (latest I have is an N64). Fun but just games.

Hobbies:
Programming, making and recording music, politics and debate, drugs, fun over safety.

Politics:
I lean left overall, especially on social issues. Let people do what they want and be who they are as long as no one else is directly harmed.

I'm Blackraptor aka Vlad (Vladislav for full though nobody uses that ;d). Turning 16 in a few months, born in Ukraine and living in Toronto for the past 11 or so years. Currently about 5'9 or so and 140lbs since I'm athletic and don't eat much. Longish hair (used to be really long) and slightly curly. I'm an Atheist and been one for quite some time, although around half my family is more or less Christian and the other half is Jewish. Currently in highschool, and sometimes employed (usually when I need quick money or something).

I read constantly (usually several books at a time, although preferably all of them being very different from each other) and occasionally play PC games. Preferred choice of gaming is RPGs (Planescape Torment, Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights, etc.) although I play everything else without problem too. Musically, I mainly listen to metal (death, black, symphonic, melodic, heavy, thrash, occasionally power) although I like industrial and some grindcore too and often put on classical music when I am working/reading.

I own 2 PCs (one currently not in operation) and a PS2 (I had the original NES but my parents gave that away some years ago). I don't particularly remember my specs (aside from my GeForce 6200 256MB video card because Oblivion liked to be (-)y with my older ones), but they're generally sufficient enough to be able to run newer games. I don't particularly care about politics at all.

Other than that, my hobbies are mainly (but not limited to) listening to music, sports (preferrably basketball/soccer), reading (current obsession is with philosophy), drawing (when I'm not lazy), writing, sleeping, and basically gathering knowledge. I'm extremely shy to the point of basically trying to avoid contact with other people as much as I can, but am rather hyperactive and social with people I know. I'm also a rather severe procrastinator (one of the reasons I'm even responding to this thread is that I don't want to start on an assignment due in tomorrow ;P) and tend to be really lazy, which I am trying to solve.

[update: 9 july 2007]

John Jonk born on 1983, july 11th at 1:59 AM In Volendam (The Lowerlands)

A Gamer & Flamer, current occupation: ClanBase Chief Public Relations & Service Desk Manager at Maxeda ITS. I am 1.86 meters long and don't have a girlfriend at this moment. I weight around 83 kilograms. Orginally raised as a Christian, still am.. how ever, not really doing much with it and ain't a strong believer.

Correct, I don't have a girlfriend anymore. Want to know the reason? To keep a long story short, some females prefer 2 boyfriends instead of one and that you have figure it out via the net isn't really fun.

In my spare time I'm either at in the clubs/bars, play some music on the Radio (Local station or online), Loves Formula 1 or other car racing things, love listening to music or play some games.

My favorite types of games are First Person Shooters, how ever a good RTS or RPG game can rock my gears. My music taste is everything except HIPHOP, R&B, Rap and more of the 'urban' genre. I just can't enjoy those types of music at all.

As i've said before, i'm a gamer. A former profesional gamer even, played on the highest level in RTCW & Counter-Strike : Source. However since my real job, I don't have time for that anymore so, I am offically retired on 31 dec 2005 (mTw's contract ended).

I also have a list of consoles: Atari 2600, Commedore 64, NES, SNES, GB, GBA, NDS, Wii, Xbox and PS1. Also owning 3 pc's under the name Ins0mnia's GigaForce Mark I & II & III. Markings didn't start with the old pc's. Started when Gigaherts and Geforce was introduced.

Specs:
First pc: Compaq: Intel Pentium 166MMX (@200mhz) - 96 SDRAM - VooDoo 2 16 mb (+S3 Trio 8 mb)
Mark I - AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1,1 ghz @ 1,2 ghz - 256 SDRAM - GeForce 4400 Ti (128 mb DRR ram) - 40 gb hd
Mark II - Intel Pentium 4, 3,04 Ghz @ 3,34 ghz - 1 GB DDR PC 3200 ram - GeForce 6800 (258 mb DDR2) - 250 gb hd
Mark II V2 - Alienware, AMD 4000 - 1 GD DDR PC 3200 ram - ATI x850 - 160 GB (ClanPC, Temp)
Mark III - Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2,88 ghz - 2 GB DDR2 Kingston PC8500 - GeForce 8800 GTX (786 mb DDR3) - 1,5 tb hd(s)

(extra Info: GeForce 2 Mx 64mb was the first videocard of Mark I)

Sports? Well, became inactive because of the kissing disease 2,5 years ago. Was a fnatic Taekwondo Martial Arts student. However, because that disease kinda destroyed my health. I dropped out the classes. Am a former Black Belt. Now that i'm recovered I've started to do basic weightlifting again in a gym, don't think i'll ever return to Taekwondo though.

Short fav's list:
Fav Sport: Formula 1 Grandprix
Fav Drink: Bawls or Beer
Fav Food: Pizza
Fav Car: BMW Z4 or Z3
Fav Book: none
Fav Movie: Saving Private Ryan
Fav Game: Secret of Mana (SNES)

Thanks Link for turning this thread around.

And by "standard transmission" do you mean Automatic or Manual? I'm guessing Manual, but clarification would be helpful.

And thanks all for posting, you have had me realize that I need Sports, Music and Politics in my profile.

Manual! We always call it 'standard' here even though the standard is, by far, automatic .

.. seriously, though.
-Radium, age 18, male.
-I'm about 3/4 the way through my last year of high school, after which I go to University of Maryland Baltimore County, where I am majoring in Psychology.
-I hope to get a PhD in some psychology field, then work as an animator.
-The only kind of pants I wear are cargo pants.
-I'm not a huge fan of playing games, but will occasionally make an exception (HL2 and WC3 being some of the largest). I own no game systems, though I plan on buying a Wii if they ever make any games for it that sound completey, completely awesome. So far I'm unimpressed.
-I don't listen to music a lot either. I can't listen to things and work at once.
-I'm short. 5'3".
-I'm heterosexual, though I generally lean towards asexual.
-I'm more or less Christian. I kind of like how Michael put it, with liking God and values more than religion.
-I like to debate or argue about things.
-I'm very critical.
-I own a PC, maybe two laptops (I have one from 1991 somewhere, but I haven't seen it in years) and at least two PDAs (I don't keep track of things well, and tend to go hunting for them whenever I actually need them).
-I have been to Canada and Mexico, and can vouch for the fact that Mexico is better.

Hey Link, if you want, I can make my first post generic like "This is a good place to make your first post blah blah blah tell us about yourself blah blah blah" and then move my profile to this post. It would be more sticky friendly then.

General:
Hello, I'm nakke, better known as Niklas IRL. I live in Helsinki, Finland, in a quite calm and peaceful area of the city. I'm currently on the first year of Gymnasium, which is.. a school you start at the age of 16 here, after 9 years of compulsory school. I'm about 185cm long, and weight something like 76kg. Not really sure.

Religion:
Agnostic. I think that if there is a higher being of some sort, she doesn't need any praying, and doesn't play any role in what happens on Earth or the universe in general. Though I generally tend to think that there isn't a higher being, but ultimately that it wouldn't matter.

Schooling and future:
As I said, currently in my first year of Gymnasium in 'Lärkan' in Helsinki. School is free here all the way, so I guess it could be called a "public school". After this (I'm finishing in 3.5 years -- normal is 3 years but, well, I'm lazy.) I'm most probably going to try to get into Helsinki University of Technology. Not really sure what to do there, but I've heard it's a cool place ;P

Work:
Well, I've been doing some summer (and winter) work at a small firm here in Helsinki. Not really anything long-term.

Video games:
Yes! Though I've never owned a console and play games quite little compared to how much time I waste use on my computer, I like to play games. Particularly CS (with friends). Yes, I'm a horrible person because of that.

Hobbies:
I love to cycle without a real destination, photograph and.. well, IRC. Though I don't really know if that could be called a hobby. I also used to play badminton, but we ended up in a dispute (it was quite many years ago) with my dad and quit. Currently passively trying to make him want to go play with me weekly again. I also adore music.

Politics:
I lean left, on pretty much everything. I think it's a great privilege to live in such a social welfare utopia country as Finland, and think a nation should be judged based on how it treats its worst off citizens.

Species: Enigma. More commonly known as Nils in real life. 20 years old, male.

Habitat: Kalmthout, an edge of the world town in northern Belgium. Moved there at age 9 from Stabroek, an equally edge of the world town close by. Nowadays, species spends five days a week in Brussels, its studying habitat.

Most likely future occupation of adult species: pharmacist; possibly research at university.

Evolutionary advantages: brain finely tuned for mathematics and chemistry allowed finishing high school two years early; allergic to absolutely nothing; peaceful nature and knowledge of how to avoid severe conflicts with other species, and as of such has a fairly easy time if it needs a favour.

Evolutionary disadvantages: general shyness makes social interaction with previously unknown other species more difficult; lack of good looks and charm puts species at disadvantage in mating season; homosexuality of species, though widely accepted by environment, makes reproduction potentially problematic. Complete ineptitude at physical strength based competitions.

Miscellaneous: species enjoys reading books, playing badminton, going out with closely befriended species. Although it does play computer games, lacks ambition to become really good at them. Used to wear glasses, but was recently operated to restore its original eyesight.

Further information about species may be published upon discovery at later times.

All right, this is now stickied to be used as an introduction thread. New users can feel free to post here as well as old users who just want to make a proper introduction .

I think you can keep your first post the way it is. It'll give people a model to base their posts off if they want.

HELLO EVERYBODY!
It's Babs Mondegreen, coming to you liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive from the BEAUTIFUL sunny beach in SAN CARLITO, CALIFORNIAAAA!!!
Allllriiiiight!!!

Today, we're going to be talking about BIG LANCES - that is, the FREE kind!
Isn't this exciting?
Let's move right along!
First up in our Big Free Lances Extravaganza Jubilee - an interview with a free lance! Let's get things started!

Babs: SO! Freelance, is it?!
FreeLance: Well, obviously that's not my real name. It's just a name I use for certain..hobbies.
Babs: OH! WELL! WHY don't you tell us your REAL NAME! (sobiggg!)
FreeLance: Steven John Sivley.
Babs: TO THE POINT! EXceeeellent! .. ..
Steven: .. .. ..?
Babs: RIGHT! TELL US A BIT about yourself?!
Steven: Okay. I'm 21, currently jobless, and in the most bummish way ever, I just moved back in with my folks until I find a job in my new home - Alabama.
Babs: ALABAMA?! THat's TOOOTALLY redneckland right?!
Steven: Not really.
Babs: NOT REALLY! WOW! Totally. ..SO! TEll us about being a BIIIIG LANCE!!!!! You are a big one, right?!
Steven: I'm not that big, really. I'm about six feet and an inch tall and weigh about one hundred and sixty pounds.
Babs: Oh.
Steven: You seem disappointed.
Babs: A little. But let's push this further - my fans, OUR FANS RIGHT GIRLS?!?!, want to know EVERYTHING about you. So come on, tell us ALL ABOUT being a BIGGGG LANCE!!!
Steven: Uh. Okay. Well, like I've said, I'm 21 and jobless bum so on and so forth. I spend most of my time doing photography. I have a girlfriend named Ashley and soon we'll be living together (IN OUR OWN PLACE). I almost always am listening to music. Right now, a couple favourites have been Chiodos (see my signature), and Maylene & The Sons of Disaster. Amaaazing, right?
Babs: ..yes, well,
Steven: You weren't even paying attention, were you? Anyway, there's really not a lot to say about me that hasn't already been said - so can we end this now? I'm cold down here.
Babs: Sure.
Steven: You still sore that I'm not a huge big lance?
Babs: YES!

Well, I'm Black Ninja, AKA Fooruman, AKA WiFiWiz, AKA Dain, AKA Honky McGee.

Since everyone's posting the specs of their compy, so shall I!

iMac (model 5.1) 17"
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHZ
2 GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM
250 GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
ATI Radeon X1600 (128 MB SDRAM)

AND THEN THERE'S MY FILESERVER! But all you need to know about it is that I built it, it has 4 GB of RAM, it has the same processor as my iMac, and it runs Longhorn Server.

I'm Christian, I'm that "scary goth kid" no one ever talks to but everyone notices, and I'm also a geek.

Any questions?

I mostly go by the name of Torkell online, and generally wander in most days. I don't go in for the whole "post all your personal details on the Internet for everyone to see" thing, so I'll stay as a mysterious male university student from ol' Blighty.

I'm basically some chick who got whacked out on energy drinks one morning and woke up here. Since then I've been stalking various members and finding this too interesting to leave. I spend my time bein unemployed and studying useless skills that will eventually allow me to get my hobo degree. For obvious reasons I'm not posting any personals here either, but I want you liver in a jar.

Why didn't I find this intro thread sooner. Ah well.

Name: Sorry, I can't disclose that.
Age: 15. I think I'm the youngest guy here

I live in Naples, Florida

I'm a Freshman in High School, I plan to be a scientist (Phycisist) so Im taking a crazy amount of AP courses, but luckily the ones at my school aren't as hard as I thought they would be.

I have no idea how tall I am, but I'm relatively tall compared to most people at school. I have black hair, in what my friends say it looks like a mushroom cut. I'm half Japanese (from my mom's side) and half Hungarian (on my dad's side, obviously) and I speak neither languange. I usually wear a plain short-sleeved shirt, usually white or navy blue along with jeans. I don't know why but I have an urge not to live my life in one city or nation. I have a nagging sensation to adventure and see much more than I could see in my life, but school and my future job gets in the way of that. Oh well.

I own only a PC, but its pretty good and I have been collecting a massive amount of games since I was like 7. My list that I still play are as follows

Ascendancy
Jazz Jackrabbit 2
Oblivion
Worms 4 (not very often)
Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends
Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic
Ground Control 1 and 2
Battlefield 2142
Runescape
Galactic Civilizations II
Realm Crafter (not as much as a game as a game maker. Namely MMORPGS)

The ones I want:
Supreme Commander (My computer cant run it yet, good graphics were not meant for the RTS genre)
Spore (I hope it comes out soon, I've been waiting for ages)

All my user names for everything begins with Heretic. (cept for Runescape, my account name is Asgardguard. Stop lauging, I can P43WN U N00BZ!)

such as

Heretic Guy
Heretic Bunny
Heretic Scum
Heretic Brigadier
Heretic Onion
etc.

Im a devout follower of the Flying Spahgetti Monster. ALL HAIL THE SPAHGETTI MONSTER! In other words I'm a cross between Athiest and Agnostic. God might be real but I doubt it, and if he is I hope he isn't the ones stated in most of the current religions, they don't seem like understanding folk. Sorry, just speaking my mind.

Oh yes, and I also must add:

I feel kinda funny right now. It's the feeling you get when you lose your favorite computer game to an office chair, miss it for 7 years (yes I had it when I was 8) then suddenly get told you are getting a new one back, and then you join a forum where people talk excitedly about an ancient game and due to Jazz Withdrawl you start getting obsesed, to the point where you attempt a tileset with no idea what you are doing, and start developing a crush on Lori (which is usually followed by the thought: "GAH!?! Am I out of my mind!?! Bleeehhhh, having a crush on a anthromorphic character is just one step under *shudder* Yiff..." Yeah. thats what I feel like now, until I snap out of it.

Ok I'm over that phase now. I still like JJ because it just has the feel of a cool game. It won't die, and I guess I'll just hang around here and learn to make tilesets and levels and whatnot.

Right, finally I take the amount of time needed to write this.

I go by the name of Xobim, no more, no less. Other aliasses are just used so you won't notice on what kind of horrible forums I show up. (jazzmusic was just a stupid entry)
16 years old Dutch kid, student at Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht and having a rediculously hard time there.
I'm quite interested in computer hardware and the like, yet my budget doesn't allow me to fiddle around with them that much.
I got to this community because JJ2 was a very special game to me. It showed certain "survival skills", and I found that very charming.
I like to write, and I'll maybe upload something to the War Tavern one day when one of my tales are finished.
Other hobbies and interests are Lego (great stuff, I really gotta set some time free for that someday), birds (especially corvids), smoking pot and thinking.
My music taste ranges from classical to goa-trance. Just about everything except rock and it's decendants, rap etc. and pop music.
Pc specs (just for the fun of it)
AMD Duron 700 Mhz, 256MB RAM, Nvidia Vanta 8MB. (But one day I'll have a powerhouse with Supreme Commander running on it)

That's about me. I'm going to hang around here for a pretty long time, I think.

My name is Tom, I'm male, Dutch, and I'm 20 years old.

I'm pretty shy and quiet in public life, but once the barrier is broken I can usually be enjoyable company. I'm calm, clean, consistent and agnostic when it comes to religion. But most typical for me is that I'm very productive - I can't stand doing nothing 'useful'. I like comedy and humor, but I hate lying, unloyalty and most of all getting wrongfully accused/people jumping to conclusions too fast.

I'm studying History at the Radboud University of Nijmegen. Although at the moment I'm very occupied with my minor Italian (I've always wanted to speak a fifth language).

I'm renting a room in Wijchen (close to Nijmegen) but I'm keeping my eyes open for something bigger to move into.
I'm bisexual, but leaning towards males currently. Since three weeks I'm single again.

My interests are music (60'ies/70'ies/80'ies), movies, games and (obviously) history and other fields of knowledge. Not surprisingly, C'C is also one of my greatest passions.

I own a PC, laptop, Wii, GameCube, Playstation 2, Playstation 1, Nintendo64, SNES, NES, GameBoyAdvance and GameBoy, although I keep most of them at my parents' place.

My favourite game genres are RPG (mainly Final Fantasy and Suikoden), Strategy (mainly Civilization IV) and "Nintendo stuff" (mainly Mario games, Zelda games and Super Smash Bros).

I'm Paul, 18 years old. Currently I'm "studying" Physics at the university of Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. I'm a JJ2 fanatic and I'm truly impressed by the fact I didn't register here before...

That was short, no...
