The gate that lies before you is indeed a very disturbed creation of man or nature. The two-inch-long spines that cover every part of the gate move like a thousand deadly snakes. You kick a rock into the gate and watch it vanish as the spikes smash their tiny points into it's surface. An armored tank, or even a rampaging snufuss could never make it though something like this alive.

Hint out of pity: leave the gate alone for a while, you haven't played with the crystal enough.

You look around the Snufuss Lair through the crystal. Funny, you have never noticed that one wall is a secret compartment containing a book known as Pandora's Diary. Sadly, like most diarys it has a lock on it.

Feed L33tz4n piece of Snufuss Skin.
Feed L33tz4n Traftonberry.

The lock is far to complex for your dagger, and the dagger can not seem to penetrate the book's cover. Daggers are meant for stabbing and cutting*hint*, not picking locks.

You feed l33tz4n the Traftonberry and Snufuss Skin Slice. L33tz4n has become the Snufuss.

Even the Thirdnotestrudel is not strong enough to open the lock. None the less, you try to get a glimpse of pandora's diary through the crystal. You can see writing, and lots of ASCII characters, but can't make them out. In your insanity you give a Noberry to Snufuss L33tz4n and watch as (s)he shrinks down to the size of a pineapple.

"Who is Pandora? you ask Araches.

She thinks for a moment. "Pandora was a (rather hot) girl who enjoyed making annoying puzzles. After her death from not remembering the puzzle combination to the enchanted chains he some reason installed in her swimming pool, mages discovered a great puzzle left on her island. Practically every one of her belongings were part of it."

Feed another Noberry to the Snufuss.
Ask Araches if she knows how many belongings Pandora had.

Popping another berry in the poor Snufuss' mouth (watching the creature turn orange) you ask Araches how many belongings Pandora had.

"I'm not sure," she responds, "but... were you really trying to pick that lock with that dagger?"

Fawriel, who is behind you, hears this. "That piece of crud? That could barely cut a shoelace!"

Make Snufuss open lock.
"Uhhh... well, I have this thing about locks... if I see one, I have to stick things in it."

You clearly use the yellow "reply" button at the bottom of the list. The Snufuss can not open the lock.

Walk to passage with gate. Throw 10 noberries at the gate.

Thwack the lock with Pandora's shoe.

You throw ten Noberries at the gate. Evidently, the thing is not a living being because it takes no effects when the noberries are devoured.
You also thwack the lock with Pandora's Shoe. The lock does not break, but you hear a jingle from inside the heavily laced shoe.

Cut the cover around the latch on the diary.

If not, Then cut the padlock itself.

Command L33tz4n to burrow around the gate.

Pandora's shoe is laced so tightly, you can't even get a finger in it. You discover mean Pandora iron-plated the diary, making it immune to your tourture. And L33tz4n can't burrow around the gate, as the whole cave is made of stone.

Look through the crystal at the rock.

Stare: Shiny rocks

The hole in the lock is shaped like a keyhole. If you're lost, let's review a quick layout of the cavern. The main hallway has three passages. The left one leads to the save point and the place where you can switch the crystal and orb. The middle path leads to the gate, and the right leads to the Cyber Cafe.

And you stare at the shiny rocks intil Araches slaps you for not doing anything.

Cut Pandora's Shoelaces with Dagger.
Eat Noberry.

You cut Pandora's Shoelaces (much more affective than gnawing). Inside the Pandora's Shoe you find Pandora's Mechanical Device Repair Kit.
