Know what? I've read back through this thread and noticed how things from over 50 posts ago fit together with things happening right now. GJ on having good storyplotting skills, or something.

Just a question, but did you plot out the whole story and how it was going to turn out before you even started it?

The first post said the first response could determine the whole story.
Many things were created by users, such as the donut shaped island, Araches, Placespot (by inspiration) and the Master Raft.

I assume since then he's laid out the story, or at least parts of it.

Basically correct. At post one all I had planned was some island and the Snufuss Minions. Faw essentialy created Araches, and L33tz4n was created to add a bit of a love story. Invisible gremlins came around as a sort of supreme neutral force, preventing such things as "steal the trading post". It wasn't until Uberbob and company had reached Placespot that I began to put thought into the other islands, and of course, planning the possible endings.

You take out your magic map. Nothing happens. You stare angrily at the map. Nothing happens. Your party seems worried.

Regardless, you walk north. You are in a thick forest again. Exits are north, east, south, and west. Where's Cartographer Stratten when you need him?

Judging from my map we're in an impossible to be in area. Going from the beach and assuming we used BR's instructions at post #3969, we when't through a blocked off area.

Regardless, in post #3973, you said that we walked north by L_G's orders, but then procceded to state that there was a north exit, though it had been blocked off, if in fact that that area is the very first link in the forest. But in a previous post you had said that we had returned to the beach, and as such that area should be the first link. This also continues describing completely new areas which weren't linked to the forest.

No. I'll only do one.

You take the party west. There appears to be some kind of computer junkyard in front of you. There's old broken black and white monitors, calculators that can only do addition, and even a Macintosh. L33tz4n searches through the equipment. "It's all either broken or useless," she reports.

First link of forest has four exits. I'm pretty sure I haven't said otherwise.
