S.I.

S.I. a.k.a. Self-Injury
I thought since we added a new article about ADHD, why not about S.I.?
Self Injury is serious. Cutting, Burning, even pricking are common forms. S.I. happens when one is depressed, and can’t find any other way to cope.
Many people are terribly judgemental about people who use self-harm. They aren’t insane, just very sad.
S.I. sometimes leads to suicide.
Support Groups
There is one popular support group known as “RuinYourLife” devoted to helping those who S.I.
Why?
People S.I., because, yes, it feels GOOD to them. The Physical pain eases their emotional pain.
Goths??
Goths…There’s another relevant subject.
1. NOT ALL GOTHS ARE SATONIC.
2. SOME GOTHS DO S.I.
3. There’s more to goths than people think…
Cutting
Cutting…it’s hard to describe. It’s like an addiction…like…smoking. It’s hard to stop. Many S.I.ers come from abusive families.
Conclusion
S.I.ers are not crazy. They are depressed, battling to stay alive each day while most of us have loving families that we seem to take for granted. Don’t.

Ok, this is where we should draw the line. Even though an article at is fine, the best time to put one up is when there’s demand for it. Did a big number of people want an article like this one? If not, it should probably be deleted.

I don’t write for ‘demand’. I this because people are judgemental about it and they should know about the subject.

Unfortunately, it is hard to evaluate “demand” of articles; Therefore, if it shows work and personal involvement, you could have an article about Norweigan Doll-Making Chain-Smoking Nuns and it would probably be allowed.

I understand that you believe that they are not crazy, and I don’t believe they are crazy, either, but if anyone who plays JJ2 does have S.I., it doesn’t pertain to us and we would have no way of knowing without meeting them IRL.

Why all those articles? This is a gaming site, not a meeting place for doctors or something.

FQuist on February 07, 2004 05:00

While I think those ADHD articles and the Autism article are pretty relevant, I think this one will be deleted unless good reasons are given to keep it here in this section. You see, the articles section is for JJ2 articles only. Because of the relevancy of the ADHD and autism articles we made a exception. I don’t see why we should make an exception for this.

Cazz NP on May 11, 2004 04:00

Why? Because ths isn’t just a gaming site anymore. Everyone should be well-informed of these things before engaging in social activity.

Please remove this CRAP. This IS just a gaming site.
