A remake of Half-Quake: Amen mod for Half-Life. Be prepared to hate life. Walkthrough included, because you will almost sertainly need it. Unless you’re some kind of masochist anyway.
tested on jj2 v1.2, should work fine on the other versions.
STORY: I think you’re supposed to be shown something about life. Only it doesn’t matter, because the whole thing makes no sense.
TILESET/TILESET USE: The levels are strictly black and white. All the sprites are completely black, and you can only hope what looks like a wall is. There are a few pictures now and then, but they’re used in such a way they don’t help much.
WEAPON/ITEM/ENEMY PLACEMENT: No.
ORIGINALITY: The whole thing is completely new and different, but for a good reason.
DIFFICULTY: Difficult? Sure, it’s difficult. If you have any idea what’s going on, you’re doing well.
REPLAY VALUE/FUN FACTOR: I can get more entertainment out of watching a banana turn black.
OVERALL (not an average): Failure.
What on earth is this? I can’t even explain what it is, the whole game is black and white, and I’m being taught how to do double jumps, yes, double jumps. I skipped about 10 levels later, and it was the same boring black and white stuff. What is this?
Making black and white levels makes people get bored. Also there were too much levels that I couldn’t understand what are they for. Because of that I cannot give you a higher rating. I hope you will work for more colorful levels in these following days..
Shouldn’t this get Butt Ugly Level of the Week?
EYECANDY: Black, black, black and MORE BLACK. Not good. Tileset is bad. 25 levels of nothing but black & white. 1/10
GAMEPLAY: Text is completely unreadable. I can’t see what I am supposed to do. 1/10
Lots of obstacles & enemies. But I can’t see them. Trigger crates are hard to find. 1/10
Some coins but you can’t get to them. Other than that there are no pickups you can get. No weapons, no food, no Gems & no 1UPs. 1/10
DIFFICULTY: Virtually impossible. 1/10
TOTAL = 5/50
No music -0.1
Nothing in the level makes any sense. -0.1
OVERALL SCORE: 1.0 – 0.1 – 0.1 = 0.8
But since J2O won’t allow scores like that it will have to be a 1.0

This is better that “Blizard”
+all black – makes it a bit psychotic
+tileset “secret” graphics
(mean ways end somewhere,and you can still go there)
+tileset dark,evil graphics
+enemyes – nice ones at nice positions
+logical things can train your brain
-there is warp bug in one level
