Description

Like everybody know was those two levels my first level pack I ever made! But there was a lot of bugs, I know! So I updated that! I’m so sorry, I can’t re-upload for Bjarni Cool, that account got banned! So I have no choice, FQuist was right about I don’t have to upload anything there’s something updated but I’ve no choice, Bjarni Cool is banned and I can’t let him edit anything! But forget about it, those are two levels, they were really wierd, so I deleted some events, passoword protected, Add Jazz start pos, etc. To see all updated things please read “Welcome to garden and garden at night (what’s updated).txt” and see what’s updated! Yeah, just give it low rating, it’s not new levels, it’s my first one but there was a lot of bugs, that I had to fix long time ago, but it’s never too late, so I just fixed that today, I made it three years ago! So I can understand why it gets low rating, http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/moreinfo.php?levelid=966 is the url of the old version if you want to rate that too! Lol, many peoples said that it had a lot of bugs, but I knew it had a lot of bugs, so here is the fixed version! Have fun! ;-)

Well, since I don’t have time for a review, I’m just going to comment on these levels since Bjarni asked me to. They’re pretty fun to play, but they’re really small. The eyecandy isn’t all that bad, either. They’re really small, though. Bjarni, you should try to make bigger levels. The bigger the better, most people say. Overall, these are two small, but fun levels. No download reccomendation, really, but if you’re a Bjarni fan, you can download these.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

I’m a Bjarni fan! So I downloaded them.

When I saw the first one, I thought that it had OK eye candy, but it could have been more. There are a few enemies at first, and you get some seekers. I should have saved them. The next part of it is a vine, with those heli-lizards around it. Unfortunately, I fell, but I got back up by using them as platforms.

And in the second level, you go a little ways, have to hop on this moving platform, and then you get an airboard! (What Bjarni level would be complete without one?)

Anyway, they were fairly good, but small as Labrat said, but I’ve seen better out of Bjarni. Make more levels like the one with the Tuf Turtle City. That was the best one of yours I’ve played.

LVL DESIGN AND EYECANDY AND…STUFF
Lvl Design isn’t the best, it even after fixing has a lot of bugs, and also if both levels would be one, the level would be too small. Also, at the end of the second level the boss doesn’t appear anymore (maybe he sleeps :-P). Eyecandy, well, nothing spectacular. It’s ok. There isn’t much sprite eyecandy, but a good background. What sucks is the structure, because level 2 is almost the same as level 1, only some minor changes (airboard, boss at the end). There are several more bugs, but I’m too lazy to tell them all.

GAMEPLAY
Not really the greatest part of the “pack” (I think it’s too short for a pack). Playtime is about…3 minutes or something. There are even after Bjarni’s fixing several bugs (I will list them later), and there aren’t any items like coins, gems, food, etc. (only little ammo at start).

AMMO AND OTHER WEAPONS STUFF
Ammo isn’t all that great. In level 1 there are some seeker at the start. In level 2 it’s some toaster ammo. That’s all. But, well, you won’t need more ammo…

BADDIES
Not much variety. In level 1 there are some turtles at the start (very easy to defeat). And over the spike pit are some flying lizards. Oh, and at the end there is a TufBoss, which appears some time, some time not (the first time I played, he does, other times not…) I think there’s something wrong with the activate boss event.

HURT EVENTS AND OTHER OBSTACLES
In both levels there is a whole line of spiky vines on the ground. Well, also in level 1 the vine what should help you coming over the spikes seems to be an obstacle because sometimes you can grab it, sometimes not.

TILESETS
The levels are using the carrotus tileset (day and night version). This one is very overused, but Bjarni made this pack 3 years ago, so he didn’t knew that this tileset was going to be overused as he made the levels.

USE OF TILESETS
The tileset use is…sprite tiles isn’t used very good (not much tile variety). But the background is good. Nothing more to say.

CONCLUSION
Updated? Well, I think the levels aren’t updated completely (I said I would list all bugs so I will do that now).
Bugs:
Level 1:
-After the first platform there’s a hole. If you fall through, you land on spikes.
-If you fell on the spikes you can run to the right sight and finish the level (I don’t think Bjarni wanted to let players finish it while running over spikes).
Level 2:
-Boss doesn’t appear all the time.
-If you defeat the boss (if he appeared before) he says “sooper dooper secret” or something… Why that???

In both levels there are still some tilebugs (I think).

So, I don’t think you should download this, only (like Labratkid said) if you are Bjarni fans.

NOTES:
Bjarni, if you want to fix a level, then do it right. Also if people say make the level longer, than not only say “I fixed the bugs and now it’s ready”. MAKE IT LONGER, GUY. Final rating is a 4.

Good luck for your next project
