Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

In my opinion a pretty cool level. I’ve always personally liked it. You did a good job of balancing the powerups/other stuff. Even though I don’t see a huge point to food and other food-like pickups. The warps were nicely placed, but despite the good balance, powerup placement could have been improved. The fluent design leads to fast paced (and fun. :-) gameplay.

Overall I recommend that you DOWNLOAD THIS NOW.

I really liked this level from the start. The level was changed slightly from it’s old self, not many changes, I only found one, and it was a music change. I did like the old music myself, really. The music and the level together reminded me of the old days of JJ2. Also, Food isn’t that useful in Multiplayer, but can be of use in Single Player (For it’s Suger Rushes).

Also, some of the things in the level I find annoying and don’t use often in my levels, but he did use these things quite nicely… Also, nice event placement. And the eye candy and design is another great part of the level.

I with out a doubt recommend a download.

Despite the fact i love being nostalgic, i won’t give any extra points here.
However, “Crown Castle” is (without a doubt) a neat level that has a very very cool design and some additional eyecandy. The weapon and event placement is very good, too (interesting spring arrangements for example). A small downfall is the background music from the Jazz 1 3D Bonus stages which doesn’t fit too well in my opinion.
Anyways, this is a great battle level for everyone and really WORTH THE DOWNLOAD.

I don’t understand why this level is getting such low scores! It’s really a classic that deserves a lot more praise than it’s been getting.

The only real problem I can find with the level is the use of food, but still… it can be fun to have sugar rushes at times.

Aside from that, the level is simply great. The eye candy, the layout, everthing! This looks like it came from Epic or something :-). I think the music fits perfectly, too.

Overall, it’s well worth your download time. Trust me, you won’t regret it :-)!

If you do download it now, it includes “Crown Castle B” which is the same version minus the food and using the old castle music. I really don’t see how this should affect a score considering no one mentioned the food in Deth’s CTF levels. =)

And it’s time for ST’s random rate of the week again. A day late, but still here. A few minor changes from last week’s episode, but they don’t amount to much. Oh, BTW, if a score comes out that isn’t on that pulldown bar, it gets rounded to the nearest # (although that didn’t happen today).

Okie, first off, eyecandy. Nice. The food helps for eyecandy (at least it has somewhat of a use). Everything else looks great. It ain’t perfect, but it’s darn close.

EYECANDY: 2.8/3

2nd stop: Layout. I’m pretty happy with the layout in this level. It’s really easy to get around, and a good, varying amount of building style. The carrots are placed fairly well (although not perfect), too. In some places it’s a bit too easy to navigate, sometimes a slightly low jump seems a bit too repeatitive, or an extra spring here or there. Overall, the problems are VERY minor problems. The weapons are the weak link of this level, though. They are very overused, and the the large amount of fastfires right by the blaster powerup is just ASKING for a broken combo. The warp spots, including the bonus bunny, are LOADED with powerups/ammo. I think a few powerups shoulda been taken out, and placed where some of that food was. Oh, there was also useless TNT in here. I always mark down a tad if there is TNT in there and it isn’t really useful.

NAVIGATION/CARROTS: 3.7/4

TOTAL LAYOUT: 4.5/6

In summary, this level is great. Quite an improvement from the original, I must say. Mmm, nostalgia. =D The only thing that brought down the “feel” was the food, which annoys me in multi. Overall, a good download it. A good level for a few games of fun, although the slightly-above average replayablity isn’t as stunning as, say, Where Warriors Fall (ironic I’m comparing this, heh heh heh) or Battle1.

OVERALL “FEEL”: .7/1

Closing Remarks: At least download it for the nostalgia. It’s a good level though, even if you weren’t here when it was originally released. =P

Ah…the good ol’ days.

This is a fantastic level. Navigation is sometimes a bit hard to handle, but it’s pretty good overall. Weapon placement is good, and eyecandy is outstanding. The only annoying bug I found was that I got stuck a few times, but very few. ;-P

A great level. A download recommendation for sure.
