Description

Yesterday, I hooked up my old computer and got some of the levels I made off of it. The only completed one I had made was this, and yes, it is my first level ever.

I made it so you can only rate this N/A because, obviously, its really subpar, and I only uplaoded it to show off what my first level was like.

According to the file properties, the level was completed September 15th, 1999, which is somewhat later than I had thought.

So, uhh, have fun. I hope this is an inspiration to show that you can improve in your level making skills a lot with practice.

A lot of my would-be first lvls are single player, but then I realised it was too hard and I quit lvl making and only restarted 2 years later. :D

I deleted all of my old, unfinished SP lvls, but they were mostly worse than yours, LBK. ;P No background (it was all black, making the screen go blurry) and I assumed that poles, vines and spikes worked by themselves without any events on top of them, lol. :D

My unofficial rating of this lvl would be 3.5 or something. :D

My first level was much worse than this one, though. It might be called the worst level ever.

My first level, which was in about year 2001, was worse than this. Exept less tileset errors because I used the easiest Jazz 2 tilest we could make one out of: Tube. :D This level is pretty good for a first timer. My layout was much worse and all that.

Starting Comments:

Hehe, Lark’s first level. ;D I just played through recently, and thought I’d get my evil fingers to write a little useless comment.

Played with: Jazz
On difficulty: Medium
Playing time: 5 minutes

Playability:

There was some random stuff like food, enemies and lots of springs at the end. Not really that much thought was put into event placement, but hey, that’s what everyone’s first level is like. :P
After the springs part I could not find a way to go on.

Score: N/A

Balance:

Poorly balanced, with some random enemies which mostly don’t make sense at all. :P The last part was not bad, but very Jazz/Lori biased. Mine was even worse, trust me. :P

Score: N/A

Creativity:

Like I said, it doesn’t look like much thought was put into event placement, and it is not really creative. The spring obstacle part was not bad though.

Score: N/A

Eyecandy:

Sux0rs eyecandy. ;D Not as confusing as in my first level, but still lots of tilebugs. :P

Score: N/A

Fun Factor:

I like stuff that doesn’t make sense, so yes, great fun factor! :P

Score: N/A

Overall:

This comment doesn’t make sense at all, but who cares, I have nothing else to do. ;D My first level was worse than yours, with lots of stuff that doesn’t make sense and such. I like the dullness of this level. ;)

Overall Score: N/A

Download Reccommendation: YES!!! BEST LEVEL EVER!!

speaks to himself Shut up dude!

Okay. This was entertaining for a few minutes.

Gameplay:
Actually tricky at some parts. Mainly because of lack of directions. And It is possible to win before you go throgh the whole thing.
1/10

Placement:
Enemies are in bad posistions. Fish out of water? Not enough of them. No bonus items like berries or soda.
0/10

Eyecandy:
No layers, lack of directios, and the level was not built to look good.
0.5/10 (For the effort)

Originality:
None.
0/10

Overall:
0.75/10. But since it is the first, 1/10.

LOL. I had no idea how to use JCS when I first got JJ2. I made a level once in about 1998 but the background was so bad coz I had nothing in Layer 8. Now I have got better at JCS as I submitted my first ever level pack to J2O.

Anyway, this level was quite bad but this was your first level ever and I don’t think we all knew how to use JCS in 1997, 98 or 99.

[Seeing as JJ2 was released in 1998, I indeed doubt anyone in the community knew how to use JCS in 1997. ~Cooba]

LOL. I couldn’t remember when JJ2 was released. But I still don’t think we all knew how to use JCS when JJ2 was released.
