Here’s my entry for FS’ level remake contest. It’s a remake of ‘the mysterious abattle1’ only the whole thing has been flipped, turned symmetrical, made not so boringly symmetrical, and slightly improved from the original. It turns out this is even bigger than Divide and Conquer, but perhaps not in terms of actual playable area. I’ve worked hard on the flow, but it only works if you spend some time learning the layout of the level. It’s all so large, so maybe you’ll somehow enjoy your day out in the city. Have fun. :-P
Oh, and there are TWO ‘Nick’s Cafe’s in the level.
Reupload info: There was a carrot imbalance between the two sides. The blue side had a +1 carrot and the red side had a full nrg. That has now been dealt with. The readme file has also been updated.
Haha, just look at that! 4 TSF uploads in a row.
Anyway, this will be my ‘HQ review’, where I can awkwardly quote people and respond to questions and comments.
(Dx, please don’t shout at me. I’m using a TSF-only tileset. ;-P)
This is a exceptionally good remake. I first thought it was missing something, when I soon found out that it had it all, just scattered and hidden. The level varies a lot from the original, but not too much for it not to be a remake. Good job.
