Description

This is our fifth myth. Like the third one is it a myth about water. And this time we have read a myth on a website: http://howtojcs.zeepost.nl/

Water doesn’t work:
-Le smash tilesets
-Earth realm tilesets
-Spaztiles
-Alien carnage
-Antartica
-Colonius
-Holiday Hare 98 tilesets
-JJ1 tilesets
-Pokemon tilesets
-Space lab
-Electric base

The myth is: are there really tileset were water doesn’t work?

We have started with the standard JJ2-tileset Colonius. In that world the water works.
The second was the Holiday Hare 98 Night-tileset. The water works here too.
And we’ve used the JJ1-tileset ‘Jazz 1: Inlvndi’.
After we’ve discovered that the water in this tileset works too, we decided to stop.

So, is this myth Busted, plausible or confirmed?

Well, we’re like to tested all tilesets, but if the myth was true, the water of Colonius (first test) doesn’t work. But it did. But we thought: ‘maybe a mistake’, but after two more tilesets we decided to stop.

We really, really sorry, Ninja Dodo, but this myth is Busted!

End result: Myth BUSTED

howtojcs does not refer to your being able to place water in a level and have it function in terms of gameplay. It is speaking of tilesets in which water will not look good, not being assigned a proper palette gradient, when playing in 8-bit color mode. Thanks for trying, but perhaps in the future, check with someone else that you have the right understanding of something before acting on it.
