STORY.
No jackrabbit ever has ever visited all seven continents on Earth. Jazz, Spaz and Lori want to be the first three rabbits ever visiting them all seven. Of course Devan Shell tries to sabotate their travel, so the rabbits will not only try to visit the seven continents on Earth, but also to defeat Devan Shell and his minions!
LEVELS.
Level 1 – Capital of the World.
The first level is set in New York. In this gigantic city Jazz, Spaz and Lori start their trip. But they very quickly get stuck into the chaos in the streets and they have to run over the roof tops and very high walls! A nice moment for Devan and his minions to attack!
Level 2 – Lost In The Wild.
The second level is set into the Amazone Rainforest. Jazz, Spaz and Lori are losing their way. But then Devan’s minions appear from the shrubs. And where do they come from? From civilization? Right, the rabbits have to follow the minions!
Level 3 – Hot ‘n Cold.
The third level is set in the Sahara. Jazz, Spaz and Lori are out of water and they have to find a way to cool down. There is a cave, but it is locked by Devan’s minions and they have lost the key. Will the rabbits find the key or will the sun roast them for Devan’s dinner?
This level is named after the song of Katy Perry! I’m not a huge fan of her, but I just like this song!
Level 4 – Mysteries of Scotland.
The fourth level is set on Loch Ness. While Jazz, Spaz and Lori are ferning over the lake on a boat, the Loch Ness Monster appears with a fort on his back. Jazz, Spaz and Lori decide to investigate it hoping find signs of Nessie to proof his existence, but they’re not alone…
Level 5 – Duel Between Ying And Yang.
The fifth level is set in China. Devan’s minions are attacingk Jazz, Spaz and Lori, but that’s not the only fight! Yin and Yang have a serious strife and they’re attacking each other, causing a serious thunderstorm! The rabbits have to escape before their attacks accidentally hit them!
Level 6 – Art Of Frozen Crystals.
The sixth level is set on a glacier on Antarctica. Jazz, Spaz and Lori are enjoying the ice crystals which are glowing in the sun, until Devan’s minions are surrounding them! There is just one way to escape: through the icy cold water!
Level 7 – Colors In The Sun.
The seventh level is set into the Great Barrier Reef. Devan and his minions have learned the sea-life how to kill rabbits. It’ll be a very hard task for Jazz, Spaz and Lori to blast their way through!
EXTRA CHALLENGES.
MAJOR CHANGE:
I’m so sorry not for providing the whole tileset in time.
No problem! I will use it in a next game. At the moment I’m busy with my next game: a Boss-fest with home made Bosses!
Ummm…Can you also upload tileset for wtlvl2.j2l
(and for other level, sorry, forgot filename)?
Nice Pack I just want to know why you didn’t want the musics in the pack? It will be better than self dw :)
The tileset for WtBoss4 is missing (Edit: Seems deactivated in the game, which is actually very, very weird considering the level is visible on J2O).
Anyway, when talking about the other levels:
Story:
It was quite interesting with new characters and such. Despite it was another Devan Shell story, it was otherwise quite orginal and such. Many levels with story playing such an important role, make the story weigh on the rating. However, some of the levels seem to have NOTHING to do with the story.
35/40
Music:
Awesome and orginal.
10/10
Eyecandy:
Each level was different in quality, also in terms of eyecandy. However, many levels looked well. However, foreground was only used for secrets and the background was often fairly bland.
6/10
—- Gameplay: —-
Level Layout:
Well, there were secrets, everything worked correctly, save the one with the coin warp leading to the ice ammo – getting back was impossible – and that was annoying. That and the levels were easy (on hard), save the third Boss level.
The bosses were orginal, but the first boss is VERY EASY because the level is very and very bland. Especially Lori will brawl through it without effort, making that literally a one-minute level. The second and third boss levels were harder. The second boss level had an enormous death pit, but it was possible to get over it altough you had to be fast.
(Edit: Broke into Bosslvl 4: This level is a lot like Bosslevel 2, only without TNT and also a whole deal easier despite all the death-traps – the tileset was in the download but not activated for whatever reason)
6/10
Pickups:
Fine. The full NRG was always enough considering the low amount of enemies. The enemy-carrot ratio was fine.
Enough ammo, maybe even a little too much. No powerups, but you didn’t need them. It was fine, and very few flaws in pickup placement.
9/10
Enemy placement:
Enemies were too easy to kill, and placed on places were you could kill them without any effort, but fine otherwise. Luckily some enemies respawned in Boss Level 2 & 3, otherwise it was even easier. Yes, I ran through this on hard.
7/10
Replay Value:
The story and the amount of secrets make this replayable for multiple times if you want. As long as everything works properly, that is, considering that isn’t always the case.
9/10
82/100
8.2/10
Penalties:
- A few critical bugs can appear; and the game crashes. It is very rare and happens only in the third cutscene level, but I had to remove the level using JCS. -0,5
- Tileset of the last Boss Level doesn’t work, making the game crash: -0.5
Well, it is still enough for a 7.2. At least.
DR: Yes. Stay aware of the bugs mentioned nonetheless. And also, quite a few levels are easy.
