Finally, the definitive version is released – just in time for Anniversary Bash 24! Since it’s been so long, I may not remember all the changes made.

  • The top left tube at the firework powerup now lets you stop at the area without needing to buttstomp
  • Some pickup rearrangements for easier collecting
  • Added some fastfire in more areas
  • Some pickup areas have been replaced with other ammo types
  • Toaster pickups have moved from below the seek/rf shaft to the right outer side.
  • Old version removed. Sorry, I didn’t feel it was worth keeping overall.
  • Fixed a minor visual bug around the pepper PU area.
  • Fixed a bug where a seeker pickup could be shot out of reach.
V2 (AB 20 edition) Changelog
  • The background has changed from a plain light blue gradient to a 2D translucent textured background.
  • Some “cave” tiles now have additional darkening to help with contrast.
First standalone upload changelog
  • A massive amount of foreground visual enhancements!
  • Bubble PU and ammo replaced with firework
  • Bnc PU and ammo replaced with meteor

Fun level, pretty good eye candy and the background is unlike any I’ve seen in JJ2.

While a bit uneven in terms of flow and aesthetics, there’s definitely an appeal to this level. It’s action-packed with plenty of pickups to facilitate large events, and I enjoy the vibe that the visuals in combination with the music choice gives. The Orbitus tileset has been used very creatively in some areas.

This didn’t get as much recognition as it should have;

by far one of the best uses of Orbitus I’ve seen, as well as a very unique use of the diagonal tubes + custom weapon.

a highly innovative layout that doesn’t have a single spot that i’d call out for being more boring.

my only complaints are probably only nitpicks that id care about
