This boss has been modified to be more difficult than the original! It’s fairly doable though :) Especially since you can choose easy mode and your favorite character. Every time you got roasted or beat the boss you can adjust the difficulty, choose another character and try again, or you can decide you beat it enough and walk to the level exit.
-The recommended resolution for this level is 800×450 but the layers are synced correctly for all resolutions now. On small resolutions you won’t be able to read all texts though since they won’t fit the canvas.

-Enable ‘Textured Background’ to see the water to make the beach vibe complete, you’ll still see water splashes even without the water as well so that wouldn’t be ideal (I can’t change that).

-01. I just ordered the layer numbers in case someone wants to see it in MLLE because when I was figuring out how to get it right, the order got scrambled.
-02 I added a level where you can choose to end the episode or try again after changing your character. Tropical Turmoil (1) v2
-03 For easy mode I added a re-spawning carrot, faster firerate and the BPM is slower (still 10bpm faster than the original because it’s still a boss-fight, but not 20bpm faster than the original like medium+higher version).
-04 When you get roasted by the boss you go to the options menu level and when you beat it as well. There you can select the difficulty and character and exit. Also, the bpm is different for each difficulty mode now.
-05 I added some tips (the ones also mentioned here) in the ‘option menu level’ and pressing the space-bar for changing character is disabled earlier to prevent switching on accident when pressing it to go to the next level faster (or while trying to already shoot the boss).
-06 I made sure the layers are synced for all resolutions now and I changed the script so the level doesn’t need separate music files for each BPM + some more small improvements and clean-ups.
-07 The water level’s lowered slightly because it looks better overall. Jazz and the crabs were sitting too deep in the water, imo. I also couldn’t get the water-splash level to line up properly unless I lowered the water level, so it works better visually in the new version.
Also, there was an unintended ‘feature’ where the game would remember the player’s upgraded fire rate from Easy mode, meaning you’d keep it if you switched directly to Medium/Hard/Turbo mode after playing easy mode. I fixed this by explicitly defining the fire rate for each difficulty in the script.
-08 Sometimes you saw the ‘getting roasted’ animation twice in a row, I added some timer to the script so it can only trigger the animation once.
