Disconnect after playing a few minutes
After playing JJ2 online for a few minutes; not sure about other games, but in my game it happens; my internet (ADSL) just goes offline but leaves the indicator in the system tray that it is still on. No internet things work though (ICQ, IE, messenger, other games) and I can't reconnect without restarting my comp.
I got windows 98 and no firewall. I'd really like to play again but this problem has kept me from it a few times now... thanks in advanced folks. |

I'll add some info and bump this post too;
I didn't manage any of the sulutions in the post at the top, that sticky one, and I don't have a router or firewall. I got an external alcatel ADSL modem and my ISP won't help you cos you never heard of it I bet. |

It could be if the modem is USB it aint getting enough power from the USB port or somethig like that so when your playing online and sending data at hight speed it will just cut out.. i remember reading something like this in my pc zone magazine some guy had the same problem when playing counter strike.
You might need to get an internal ADSL modem or try connection the modem to your pc using a powerd usb hub. thats my idea anyway, speak to your isp they might be able to help. |
