JJ1 conversion request thread
If you have any requests for conversions of JJ1 planets, post them here and I may actually TRY to build those conversions you want ;o I don't guarantee it will be Violet quality, but let me try ;p
LET ME START : TECHNOIR. This is a must. Technoir we have is bad. REALLY BAD. CRYSILIS. I know, this is possibly hardest planet to deal with. 90% of Crysilis have tiny glint animations, which are evil. INDUSTRIUS. This should be apparently easier to do ;o DECKSTAR. AFAIK Violet was planning to do that, but no results sawn so far. CARROTTUS. Yes this one exists in JJ1. ;p Any requests or volunteers?

Well there is a Deckstar/Muckamuk/Exoticus pretty much perfect conversion that already exists on J2O. There is also I believe a perfect Industrius conversion out there too. How about a Lagunicus conversion that actually is buildable, and includes all the tiles from the planet. Hmm, what about all planets from Episodes 2-6, & B-C. Oh yeah and Turtemple would be real nice
 Check J2O, for JCS94, Conker. Oooo, would a BONUS level conversion be possible? You know the crazy gem racing bonus level.

Because I'm bored, I'll do a list. Feel free to add to it with whatever I left out.
EPISODE 1: TURTLE TERROR Diamondus Conversions: A lot, and a pretty complete one by NOKA. Tubelectric: Conversions: Ones that come to mind are Newspaz's and NOKAs. Medivo: Conversions: Ones that come to mind are CelLs, which is pretty complete imo. EPISODE 2: BALLISTIC BUNNY Letni: Conversions: One by I think CelL, which isn't so good. Needs a better conversion IMHO. Technoir: Conversions: Ones that come to mind are Newspaz's. Which is incomplete. Probably needs a better one. Orbitus: Conversions: Violet conquered this one. EPISODE 3: Fanolint: Conversions: After a while of searching I found a useable one by IceWolf. Still incomplete, though. Scraparap Conversions: Two by Violet (one old one one new and better one) Devan's Megairbase: Conversion: A pretty good one by Violet. EPISODE 4: GENE Turtemple Conversions: NOKA. And some palette edits too. Nippius Conversions: One old but still good one by Violet. Jungrock Conversions: A moderately good one by CelL and a good one by LRK. EPISODE 5: THE CHASE IS ON Marbelara Conversions: A good one by CelL comes to mind. Slugion Conversions: A pretty good (and really old) one by Violet. Dreempipes Conversions: Violet =D EPISODE 6: THE FINAL CLASH Pezrox: One by FoD (I think), and one by Violet. Crysilis: One by someone (forgot who, USER INPUT PLZ). Needs a better one. Twin Mega Battleships: Pretty good one by CelL Time for the annoying episodes where I close the jj1 manual and actually use J1CS to check for =D Exoticus Conversions: Violet =D (with special appearance of POLAR BEAR) Industrius Conversions: Lots of people. One that comes to mind is LRK. Might or might not need another conversion. Muckamok Conversions: Lots, although most are fairly/moderately incomplete or fused with other conversions in a threesome or something. (NeW's Mayhem). Probably needs a good, solid conversion. Raneforus Conversions: Uh..the one that came with JCS. Thats it. And maybe some fused together/incomplete one which I can't recall atm. Needs a good conversion. Stonar Conversions: A few by CelL and one by LRK. Dunno if it needs another conversion or not, but LRKs was alright last I remembered. Whatever this other planet is called (not paid to check in jj2 so dont care =D) Uhh..Appears in NeW's Mayhem, and I think thats it. Needs a conversion. Ceramicus Conversions: Good one by NOKA. Deserto (CLIFF IS COL. EAT ME! =D) Conversions: Violet. gg Lagunicus. Conversions: Violet. gg (On a side note, the boss level in lagunicus has a swear word written in it ;() Candion Conversions: A fairly good one by Violet (lacks some stuff, but oh well). Doesn't really need one at the moment. Bloxonius Conversions: An OK one by Toxic Bunny, some not so good random ones, a fairly good one by LRK. Holidaeous (sp?) Conversions: Violet. I think I could post the descriptions for the episodes and stuff, but I don't feel like going through all the trouble to look up stuff for a post =D.

I had a working tileset compiler last summer also, but lost some of it while trying to make it easier to use, and then when I tried to redo it in the last weeks of summer this year, I ran out of time... oh well.. I have a long xmas break.. we'll see.. |

What the heck is going on here, there is no JJ1 planet in the game, storyline worlds, bonus levels, secret levels or what not that warps you to Carottus. The closest to that would probably be Earth (Diamondus).

Anyway, yes. That is Carrotus because JJ1 says that Jazz lives on Carrotus. It only says that once, but it does say that. |

Raneforus. THAT PLANET SUX but lacks decent conversions. 2) Those animations are pain I'll admit. 3) ther is a luuk at caretuus in jj1 like at no apprichin screen at info button in menu 4) LRK's one has GOOD SLOPES. And the only thing I've noticed about Technoir and Sluggion is the lack of text sign (Sluggion's ONLY problem) and all that destructable scenery and good stuff in Technor. Problems in planets that Tublear mentioned:
Crysilis: No animations. This is an obvious one. Industrius: I could be wrong, but I don't think any Industrius conversion has had proper masking, proper coloring, proper added tiles, all the tiles, and no inaccurate lazy "remakes" using mirroring. Technoir: Yes, it's missing some of that stuff that makes a tileset a JJ2 tileset, instead of a randomgenericplatformer tileset. Slugion: Poor masking, I think some missing tiles, and ugly added tiles. |

Obviously I can name any problems I want in my own tilesets, as there's no risk of offending people.
 I would consider remaking Slugion, but nobody would care. JJ1 conversions are not very popular at all these days period, and when there's already a usable one, they just seem pointless. Sadly, I do not care enough about Slugion to make it for reasons other than ratings. |

Anyway, I try to focus on Deckstar; with a bit of help from J1CS and JJ1 which I apparently warped I might actually finish that. Oh, and don't forget that program Sparky apparently found. With that making screenshots became way easier ;p |

FANOLINT. FANOLINT is yer God-Planet. The conversion by Ice Wolf is poor.
LETNI is second in line. The conversion by CelL is missing a lot of stuff too. Oh, and Technoir conversion is bad.

Fanolint...Sluggion...Scraparap...Technoir are the planets tha need to be remade, alrighty then, I will avoid making levels with them.
Deckstar, will be much fun when it is remade.
