Hey,
I'm new here but not new to Jazz Jackrabbit. I got hooked with the original game's shareware long ago. It wasn't until 1998 when Jazz 2 came out that I decided to buy it, and it came with Jazz CD too. I also downloaded the HH 94 and 95, and lucky me, I found HH 98 for only 1 cent! 1 Canadian cent! I love the series and characters. I think it really sucks that the Jazz 3 project died (atleast for now I hope), just because GOD games or no other publishers would publish it. The Jazz series isn't ready to be canned. Except for holiday versions, and better, more featured Europe versions of Jazz 2, there has basically only been the two games. I think the potential of a 3D Jazz game is so great. If they made it for PCs and put it on consoles too (as well as a GameBoy Advance 2D Jazz game), the audience could grow much larger. Why do the publishers stay away? We could help email publishers about it. The thing about it being in 3D though, is it's very important to do it properly which can be hard. I can think of several console games that was popular in 2D and ruined in 3D. If it's done right, a 3D Jazz would REALLY (/) (-). I imagine it would be like Fur Fighters, but there should also be a way to see the character from any angle while running around (in Fur Fighters you're stuck looking at the character's back, but it makes aiming easy). The PC market is so limited these days. All we get is shoot em ups and isometric strategy games. Remember what happened with Duke Nukem? That used to only be 2D and only on the PC as well, and once Duke Nukem 3D came out, the series went to consoles as well (though it seems like it moved to consoles entirely). Jazz, Spaz and I assume Lori are such great characters (I have not played TSF or CC), and the gameplay is fun, and the animation is superb. No, I will NOT let them kill the series because of lack of funds and wussy publishers! Jazz must continue! Anyhow, I also want to ask what just happened? When I found this site, the background was white, and there was a Jazz Jackrabbit 2 logo complete with our fave green bunny and coloured letters. Now it's black, and no more cool logo... Well, I don't want to overstay my welcome. I think I left enough for you to chew on for now. I'll check back soon. I'm so glad there's so many Jazz fans and a great forum just for the series! Let's annoy the developers to create the game already! -Nadine Derby: Context edit. Last edited by Derby; Dec 16, 2001 at 03:40 PM. |

Krezack and anyone else with that problem, just go and change your theme! I've currently got it set to "Stone", which is pretty tileset looking.

A newbie might be afraid of something that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable such as an Enigma.
Note: That is almost the exact meaning of enigma in a dictionary.

Hello there!
Yes, I went to options now and have the site the way I found it before. I like it this way. Hey, what's wrong with being new? It's interesting for you and me. Besides, everyone was a newbie at one point, right? I know it seems like the Jazz 3 project completely died, but we can't lose hope. It just wouldn't be right. The Bomberman series is still running. Sonic has survived some mediocre games, many new looks including a "family" version, and some lame cartoons. Jazz hasn't even entered 3D yet! The bonus stages of the original game do not really count, but they are cool. However, when he enters 3D it has to keep the classic gameplay. This is not so easily done, and certainly not easy with no funds. I wish I could play the demo, because the screenshots didn't say a lot to me. It's Jazz in 3D. Yes. What is he doing? He's looking up at buildings? Where's the turtle targets? Plus now a days on the PC and if Jazz went to Xbox or something, he'd look so much better than his model looked in the pics of that game. I have a very cool idea for a Jazz fan-made game (not made from scratch though), but I will post that on another board here. -Nadine |

And the fact Jazz is thoguht to be an 8 year olds game (all my freinds think that) theres just not a big enough target audience.

There sure is a target audience just look at the JCF however most 8 year olds these days would rather blaw an aliens head of with a satchel pack in half life then play jj2.
