The two numbers will remain at zero as long as no one has joined your server. Users may not be able to join your server if:
1. You have a firewall that is blocking the vital Jazz 2 server ports. 2. You are serving levels with defective headers and in some cases, filenames. 3. You have limited access to the internet. This is most prominent with AOL and its parental controls; you must be on General Access to serve. 4. You are connected to a local network; local networks generally have an increased security against ports that allow file-sharing and increased internet protocol address use. You may optimize this from the main computer on the local network. 5. You have an OS not optimized for Jazz 2 (i.e. Windows 2000 is not ideal for games). The problem you're having with serving may be anything from the severe problems, to the easily repairable problems; I don't know from the current specifications. Good luck in finding out what's wrong. Hopefully, you'll be able to serve. |

ACtually, try running spy, when it tries to connect, make sure it says " Connected to listserver: Jazz.logicware.com "
If all of them say something like " Error: Could not resolve hostname for :blah.blah.blah" or something like that then run the patch. |

OR:
You have a totally bad connection from your phone modem to your ISP. Very common. If you timed out, quickly go back to the menu join list. If Jazz2 is able to list the server lists, then the server you joined to timed out or got a very unexpected disconnection or error, leaving the server name in jazz.logicware.com for a while. If Jazz2 can't list the server immediately, you timed out.

Not exactly. As soon as someone tries to receive the servers list from the listserver, the numbers will blink for a second or two showing something like this: "recv 312 baud" and/or "send 288 baud". At least on my PC. If it never shows any numbers, there is probably a problem (as described by Derby). |

Aiko, those numbers show up when a person is trying to connect to your server, but has not necessarily joined the game.
With the spy window, you should try to first connect to other servers to see if you're receiving packets of information from it at all. Then serve yourself to see if you can send the packets of information to the serverlist. You may have to optimize some port settings to send the information if there are problems. |

If you simply ping a server (like JJ2 automatically does), it will not show up because the number is simply too small to consider (32 bytes/ping). When you are connecting to a server, larger amounts of packets of information is being sent for various queries (i.e. Is this an unknown tileset/level?) and after this visible information is processed, either the required downloads the query listed will begin, or the level will start and the user has joined.

Try to put this
Go to Start menu, then click on run and then write telnet://jazz.logicware.com:10057 Or click that link. After that you should see a window that poped-up followee by an error saying You lost connection with the host. SOmething simlar to that, but if you move the box u should see the servers list. If not contact me. |
