Time Out! Not a firewall?
Just to add to all the "Time Out" problems with firewalls, I've got one without a firewall! I suffer the same problem they do, though it is definatly not because of a firewall, I don't have one. I closed all the special network services running on my computer, and yet still I get the "Time Out". I'm connected to Indiana University's high speed system, but I'm connected through a router which share's my IP with another computer.
(X_x; It's a nightmare, I know ...Oh yea, and when I play the send baud rate works find.. but recieve is always at zero)

There is noooo firewall.. not in my router... and I'm not sure if I said I was hooked up to another computer and then the internet because I found that that is wrong. The router hooks us all up to one connection, without a master computer.
