What makes a jazzer "Eleite" has nothing to do with fast connections and computers it has to do with something called "skill" i can take out some DSL jazzers with my 33.6 modem! (really, i can

Well take out iCeD if you ever see him again! He's the laggiest person in the community.
Ow! You can have skills, you can have fast computers but if you don't have a good connection to the server your enemy can roast you with a few easy shots without even hitting you. I hate when ppl use that advantage to roast ppl with poor connection. "Poor connection makes you weak." -me

In the end, it is probably a combination of skill and capacity. Your potential may very well be limited by a bad connection, but skill only fills up that bar of potential. It is of no use to have a large bar of potential with close to nothing in it. The exploitation of bugs covers all of that skill up, however, as the game may not be won properly, if at all, with the abuse of the bugs. A computer with an insufficient processor or video card may also hinder skill, but that does not seem to be a common problem as of today. Dueling opens up more space for potential, but does not necessarily fill it all the time. Experience under various conditions such as lone reliance, teamplay, and handicaps are required to improve at all. Of course, people probably do that unintentionally and simply play the game. Conditions like these apply to just about everything related to it.

Actually, a fast processor and a slow modem is the best combination. Just host a game with that type of rig. It really works - anybody ever been to "LaggyZone"? Heheh, I have some long stories about lag from there...
That's why I'm still undefeated in my server, even after all these years. Heh, heh heh. Bring it on... ;P |
