Yay! 3d!
I was planning on making anohter "Radium vs Fawriel" game (a strategy game this time). Below was my original plan for how the characters would look:
![]() Buuuuutt then I relized I didn't have the energy to redraw that hundreds of times so this morning I block modelled a 3d model in Anim8or (overall I'd say this took 5-7 hours): Full model: ![]() Standing: ![]() Sitting (this shows how blady I made his skeleton): ![]() So, what do you guys think? What's wrong with it? I can point out right away the arms and feet are too big, but he's supposed to look a bit cartoony.

See, that's kinda the problem with a sprite-based game engine, you need all the images beforehand, and thus, you need to draw all the animation frames out somehow. If you can do it right, though it's well worth it; Frankly, I miss the days of well-made sprite graphics in games... I mean, cel-shaded games are GOOD (so long as they're done right), but they ain't the good ol' days...
But anyhoo, with your pics... looks pretty good, I'd say. Except, you might want to make the arms and legs shorter. I think they're a bit long for the cartoony look you said you were after... Sure, bigger arms and such are good for cartoony, but too LONG doesn't work as well...

Naw, seriously, not a bad job... I'd just advise you to do something about the hands (especially in the standing pose) and his face (he reminds me of Garfield. Only less emotion.). Can't really say anything about anatomy, but I guess you were helped out with that already. Oh, and... HAPPY TO SEE ME AGAIN, FOOL? =))))))))

...wow, the hair is metalic looking, I didn't notice that the first time I read this thread.
...Oh... Wait a minute... Is that right? Problem is that this monitor has a bad picture, the color is off a bit, so maybe that observation is wrong. |

Dangit, why whenever someone makes a 3d model the first thing everyone thinks is "UT Skin"?
