Yes, I got my hands on a real Jazzers collector item! It's the boxed version of Jazz Jackrabbit3. It's being sold like this in Israel.

Front of the box, with some fake magazine quote. Don't miss this innovating madness If you're not able to read it.

The back of the box. As you notice, the rest of the text is hebrew. That's also why the cover in the box is mirrored.

The CD actually is pressed. It's no CD-R copy with a nice sticker on it.

Better view of the CD. I sort of like the bright colours.

Another view on the box. Notice the two company names:
Naughty Games and Gamemania Ltd.

Sadly enough, the CD only contains Jazz Jackrabbit 2: Christmas Chronicles. This makes it extra strange to me why they put a 3DFX logo on the front. By the way, a big thanks to Feline. He shipped it for me!

Hahah, that's a pretty sweet find, Newspaz. I like the cover and the cd design, very funky.

The odd things are that the thing pretends to be a Jazz Jackrabbit 3.
The back of the box contains PICTURES OF THE ORIGINAL JJ2.
And it has CC in? Wierd stuff.

This is certainly the weirdest Jazz Jackrabbit-related thing I've ever seen. Great find!

Very interesting find. Is it any different from the illegal demo? I also find it interesting that there are no relevant Google results for Naughty Games or Gamemania Ltd.

As said in Newspaz's post, the CD supposedly contains Jazz 2: Christmas Chronicles. The screenshot selection on the back cover and the title are what make it a very peculiar find.

There ARE idiots out there who think that Jazz Jackrabbit: Holiday Hare '95 is Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Evidently, they ALSO think that Jazz Jackrabbit 2:The Christmas Chronicles is Jazz Jackrabbit 3

I just realized that after replying. At least it seemingly covers every Jazz game except JJ3: There are also JJ2 screenshots. Very nice. ;-P

Oh ya, I remember Feline telling me about that. found it pretty funny though.
Altho I gotta admit that that one Gamemania logo looks a bit fimilar. but I cannot remember to what it looks similar to. Although I gotta admit that if I ever saw that jj3 CD before even feline telling me about it, I would of knew before it was a fake. -hey,why would there be a sorta-relastic bg on an Epic game?
Even though I gotta say that I never saw that JJ3 CD even though I live in Israel..(I wonder from which place Feline got it from though.)
Edit: Oops. darn. I just revealed where I live. XP Oh well. who cares.

Strange in deed. In fact on a server the other night someone from Israel claimed to have bought JJ3 in the shops. He said it was 2D and had a girl Jazz in it. Funny he thinks it is actually JJ3

But it can always be piracy....

Karmus. Have you ever heard of sarcasm?

Flash said: "The cd seems to have a JJ1 picture on it."
I said: "You're kidding! ", by which I meant to say something like "Tell us something we didn't know already".

Sun Fun Dude said I was joking, and that's true. It was sarcasm.

Israel harbors evil, unfortunately.

I've always gotten the impression that our laws don't apply in Israel. If you commit murder and go to Israel you wont be extradited (except in some very rare cases,) which leads me to think that their law would just ignore this incident.

you're part right

No offence to you either, but that's your opinion. I thought a little clarity on Israel would add depth to the topic, my post was in response to someone mentioning the legality of this distribution in Israel earlier.

Quote:
Radium: I sense a lawsuit... they do have laws in Israel, right? No, seriously, I want to know the answer to that.
I was only answering that question, as best I could. Sorry if my not quoting it might have caused confusion, I'll try to be better about that in the future.

Also, if there's some quintessential standard for what's off topic and what isn't I'd like to know. Thanks,
