Battery Check and JJ2. Zbuh?

If Battery Check levels use the same style, template, and even extension of JJ2 levels, why can't I get BC tilesets or levels to work in JCS or JJ2? When I try to run a level, it comes back and says that the file isn't a JJ2 level... When I try to find one of the BC tilesets in JCS, it doesn't show up.

Help or something?

It doesn't use the same events,it uses a different character and the enemies can't be killed,so how the heck do you think should the JCF possibly be able to open such a level?

While it uses the same engine, the events are not interchangable. Therefore, it can not be opened in any normal JCS.

I once made a conversion of the tileset in the first level. There used to be a conversion of the second tileset somewhere on J2C. Mez made that one.

I think Mez talked to someone, and that someone gave "it"(*) the original graphic files. And then "it"(*) just did a fast compile of them in JCS.

(* I refer to Mez as "it" instead of he or she, since it is a mystery to me if "it" is male or female)

That was an OK tileset, as I remember. Not that I ever used it.

I think "it", being Mez, is a guy. But I don't know.

Uh... scratch the events, so that it's just the level? I'm just making a wild guess here, so... um, yes. Pantsbread.

Ooo! Do you still have that first-level tileset somewhere, Newspaz? I could do... um, stuff! With it! Yay!

And I already have the second-level tileset. Thxes.

Wheefun, rain rain rain rain...

The game is good IMO. But anyway, the thing which CB forgot to tell you, and the most important thing is that the game uses the JJ2 engine.

Btw CB, I thought you wouldn't visit this place anymore

I've made some more posts this week. I never said that I'd never post here anymore. I just said it would be a few weeks till I forgave some people before I could say a word here again. And so I'm here again. Maybe not for long though. :-p

BTW: I know that Battery Check is made with the JJ2 engine, but that doesn't mean it has to be a good game.. The fact that u have to recharge yourself constantly pretty much sux.

and the cheat codes are just dutch words with HH in front (the game is dutch because it is "selled" by a dutch company

for example: JJFLY + JJNOWALL = HHKLM
(KLM = the dutch airplane company)

with this i mean that the cheats are the same way because of the jj2 engine.
