I would like to see less power abuse, regardless of whether this channel works or not. And a lot less. No more bans for insulting AutoVoice. The AutoVoice thing is fun and all, but it's not needed to ban people for it.

People who get annoyed from being kicked are the ones who don't realize you can set mIRC up to auto-rejoin channels.

JJT, today you were crossing over lines and being a general annoyance. Your ban will be removed sooner or later, but you have to understand the limits and joke within them, and don't annoy the ops.

Insulting Autovoice is an unforgivable crime, and you should be glad if your just banned for a few days for insulting him.

Okay, sure, "don't take that seriously, Faw" and bla, but I DO take things like insults very seriously. That's just me.

I'd appreaciate it if the ops would do some more against (Derby-yumyum) like that.

Pic, and that's your opinion. For the people who actually do care about the power abuse my channel is open. It is practically the same thing as #jj2. With a few tweaked rules, the bot for the room is not God, and no one has to worship him. I don't care if you insult him either. Just don't insult other people in the room.

No one is going to play God? That's a relief.

Usually the reasons people are kicked are because they are annoying other people in the channel, including the ops. It's like a circle. You annoy the ops, the ops kick you, and you claim that all the ops are doing is trying to annoy you by kicking. We don't just kick for no good reason. People who are kicked are being pains, or we are just having fun with a new person.

OPs should be treated with the smae respect as anyone else, and not as a higher person.

But they are at a higher level than you. If an op is doing something very wrong, he will get deopped. Ops are ops because they are held up to a standard, and they meet that standard.

I've looked onto #jj2, and many OPs don't seem like they deserve to be OPs, and I don't usually complain, but sometimes it just gets to a point where it's just not right. I can understand 'a little fun', but #jj2 isn't just a little fun, every time I'm in there someone is getting kicked for no good reason, just for 'a little fun'.

A agree that there are too many ops right now, but that isn't my decision to make. And you must be coming in at the wrong times, because usually there isn't any trouble. And if there is, then there is a reason for it.

So I think that we either need to: A) Clean up the act on #jj2, remove some OPs, and add some B) Create this new channel and hope that it prospers
I would rather have A because it's more practical, but by the looks of things that won't be happening. So I think we should move on to choice B, which JJT seems to be doing, and so I am happy.

While I don't care if he creates a new channel, I think this entire idea is worthless. I don't plan on visiting this channel much at all, and over the year and a half that I've been at #jj2 I have never been annoyed enough to go to a new channel. Granted, sometimes there are problems, but they are eventually worked out. If you are kicked repeatedly from a channel, there IS a reason for it. You may be kicked a couple times for no reason, but we do have limits.

You say us ops are not kicked for no reason, but I can give you a list of times when various people did so to me ;P
