Nah. Try a Freezeblink-Wild Tornado combo.
![]() And yes, Illusionists make illusions...that become reality momentarily. When they become real they deal their damage, and they don't stay very long. Ever wondered why the field isn't snow covered after a Freezeblink? Yep: the snow is nothing but an illusion. Don't worry, Xion is trying to make his illusions become full reality, so he can bend the fields to his advantage... Pageclaim.

A freezeblink-wild tornado combo for what?
I have never wondered anything about freezeblink, since you have never used it. And, when you do do things, you don't describe what happens.

I described one of my illusionist spells early in the game...with the five delbiters? That was a form of Soil Evidence, but it created the illusion of them all falling and getting crushed, and Rach was the only one that lived through the attack. See, Delbiters, and all other monsters in the seabed, turn to dust when killed. That's why the rest disappeared, and Rach lived, since the spell missed her.

That wasn't either freezeblink or wild tornado, so it doesn't help me much.
And, what are you going to use that combo for?

Prominence- Burns all enemies with massive plumes of fire.
Tempest- Attacks all enemies with a lighting storm. Freezeblink- Um...covers enemies in ice, them shatters the ice, damaging all targets. Star Cross- Rains stars from space to strike all enemy targets. Stardust- Summons meteors to smash enemies to pieces. Deluge- Attacks all enemies with a maasive torrent of water. Soil Evidence- Creates an earthquake to damage all enemies. Wild Tornado- Hits all targets with a massive gust of wind. I've never gotten far enough to see these spells in action, so I just made this up as I go. Speaking of which... *goes off to play FFTA* ^U^

Cid is crazy in FFTA...He can pull all these different law manipulations...
Abate - Skip the Judge's turn once to get away with law violation Judge Sword - Slash and steal JP Bind - Disables and immobilizes for arrest JP Gift - Gives own JP to a friendly unit Yellow Clip - Removes a Yellow Card from Record.

FFT cid (called Orlandu, and only known as a cid since his nickname is 'thundergod cid') has all the special swordskills of most other characters. He can learn swordskills that destroy the enemies' equipment, steal their mana or HP, or deal lots of damage and sometimes add status effects. Also, he is really powerful. Really, really, powerful. For example, when he uses stasis sword, a skill that hurts and sometimes stops all enemies in it's radius, he deals around 250 damage. The other character than knows stasis sword only deals around 50 damage a hit.

*nod* back to the game at hand.
Xion wakes up, to see Tia sleeping on him. Xion lets out a sleepy sigh, and gives Tia a small kiss on her lips. "adorable." Xion whispers, then carefully places her back onto the bed they were sleeping on. Xion looks around him. Nothing's changed. Computer still where it was, running his scanning program. Scrolls next to the computer, so he can figure out new techniques...Xion counts them, and notices there's one more than before. Xion finds the new scroll, with a small note on it. Dear Xion, Seeing as we all owe you a thanks of gratitude for your new found powers, we all here think that you should have something. Inside this scroll is a powerful new spell, when used correctly can be very devestating. I hope you get more bang for your gil. ![]() Signed, A Fellow Planeswalker "awwr." Xion says, after reading it. Upon opening the scoll, Xion cocks his head sideways. "What the...Ancient magic?" Xion analyzes some of the text, but to no avail. "This is complete foreign to me. I should get this to a computer, but seeing how it's so old I might wreck it with Photon technology. Best not risk it." Xion re-rolls the scroll, and replaces the ribbon around it. Xion sits down in his chair and checks out his planal search map. hehehe. When I feel Xion is ready for this powerful spell, he will get it. Let's just say that in some cases it's the most powerful spell ever concieved, yet in others it's the worst ever created. And yes, with a combo that includes this spell, Xion can change the field around...for a chunk of mana. A huge chunk of mana, too. ![]()

I am thinking of making it a rule for characters that for every elemental strength past their first they must have an elemental strength. Anyone agree?

Basically, for every elemental strength a character has past their first they have to have an elemental weakness. This is to keep players from having too many elemental strengths compared to their weaknesses.

I'm merely giving it as an example.
Thus, the only bonuses that can be without penalty is from weapon boosts...like my Lotus Mace...*strokes lotus mace* Oh. Another piece of the story could be nice. Tia wakes up, and slips in behind Xion in his chair. "Hi." she whispers in his ear. "Hey." Xion says back, continuing his work. "I know I saved them...where are they?" "Look at this..." Tia says, pointing at an area in a plane. "Go back to our current plane." Xion switches back to the plane requested. A large green blot encompases an area of almost two star systems. "That's weird...that wasn't there before the planal ruin." Xion says. "Thanks for noticing that." Xion gives Tia a small kiss on her cheek. "So this may be why I couldn't find him." "Well, we could talk to Pioneer 2 about probes..." Tia suggests, blushing. "Good idea...but I'm hungry." Xion says, getting up. Tia is clinging to his back, and they head off to the lounge area for some food.

10:00
Tangent walks away from the now decamped enemy camp, and to an outpost near the main base. Getting on a hovercar, he goes away, closely followed by Risp. Soon after, he reaches the main base and gets out. Walking back to the main building, he enters the magic quarters. Risp himself takes a different route. He walks off to the training grounds, to check on the troops. There he sees Strato, now giving a speech to the hackers on the importance of magic in a proper army. Satisfied to see everything normal, Risp continues down to the campgrounds. He meets up with a red peep. "Status report, Captain Neith." "Everything is normal here. The troops are still in fine morale, and the second barracks is nearly half done. Our scout parties have found some more mineral deposits, and we are already building mines there. Some of the outposts on the edges of our territory have reported increased activity in the local militias, but they will not be a problem. We are most likely going to quell all the resistance on this planet within the month." "Good..." Risp says, "carry on. I think I shall check up on Veltha next..."

I am adding a new element to terrain modifiers- resident monsters.
Now different locations can have a few types of enemies that are encountered there if you enter. They have allignments of their own, so they can be good evil or neutral, though they are most commonly neutral. I am not done with the list, but here are a few examples of my work so far- Ent: /good/ 500 d 2000 hp weak against fire King Lion (miniboss): /neutral/ 1000 d 5000 hp *majestic (anyone who uses an attack or a technique on King Lion gets -1 attack this turn or on their next turn if they would have 0 for this turn without the help of majestic; counterattack) strong against all elements Pathbinder: /evil/ 400 d 2000 hp *landbind (target is not effected by terrain modifiers) strong against all elements What should the monsters for Gran Da Val be?

Those stats don't really translate into this stat system well, and you can't have that many monsters for you area- I would say 6 per terrain type at max.

Well, the terrains are HUGE in this game. The Caves and the Ruins are the two largest areas in the game.
![]() Besides, I only feel like using a few for Gran Da Val... Sinow Berril, Delbiter, Sinow Zoa, Sinow Zele, Gran Sorcerer, and Gal Gryphon.

That I do.
And I want to make one small change...Instead of Sinow Zele, I want a Mil Lilly. Sinow Zoa - Can Freeze, and turn itself invisible and warp. Casts reflection, so it can be found even when invisible. Sinow Berril - Turns Invisible, doesn't cast a reflection, no status effects. Delbiter - Powerful tiger-like animal, a good meleé fighter, with a powerful beam strike. Can Charge and confuse. Gran Sorcerer - Casts Grants (Powerful and slow Light-based Spell) and Megid (Instant death, slow moving, VERY low hit rate [16% or less]) from it's Right crystal, and Resta (A high-powered healing spell) from it's Left Crystal. However, the crystals are in plain sight and unprotected, so a few good strikes shatters them. The Sorcerer itself can warp around the field, and usually flees when it's active crystal is broken. Uneffective without it's crystals. Mil Lilly: Very rare about, and they are reserved as the last level of defence of Xion's. Very powerful, and very deadly. Their Megid blasts are very fast, so they are hard to dodge but still have the low rate of hit. Compared to their akin Ob Lillies, their rate of hitting is almost doubled, from 16% to 33%. Their range is their falter, with a range of about 10 feet. All megid spells have this same range, so if you are out of range (Yes, 10 feet 1 inch is out of range.) and have a weapon with the lilly in range, you can easily kill it. Though when it's out of range, it can still use a room-wide ability that paralyzes at a 25% hit ratio. Gal Gryphon: A large Gryphon, prefers swooping to sitting down and attacking with it's magnificent claws. Can create typhons with it's large wings, may it be in air or on the ground. Prefers to snatch up intruders and drop them off at the bluffs on the Southwestern area of the island. FULL stats I'll get to later.

So, with the short range of the Mil Lilly it's attacks would be considered Melee ranged?
