For a long time I had a problem where if I opened j2i files from gip.php JJ2 started without connecting to the server. Bobby explained how to fix this to me today, so for anyone else who has this problem where gip.php does not open JJ2 or opens JJ2 without connecting to the server, here is an explanation of how to fix it.

1. Go to windows explorer and click tools -> folder options. Click on the file types tab. Scroll down to the J2I extension. (If there isn't one, click new to create it and enter j2i as the extension.) Click on advanced.

2. Look under actions. There should be an open action; if not, go to step 3.
If there is, go to step 4.

3. Click new. In action, enter open. In "Application used to perform this action", enter C:\games\jazz2\Jazz2.exe -j2i "%1"
except with c:\games\jazz2\jazz2.exe as whatever you have as your path to jazz2.exe. Click ok and you're done!

4. Click edit. Change "Application used to perform this action" to C:\games\jazz2\Jazz2.exe -j2i "%1"
except with c:\games\jazz2\jazz2.exe as whatever you have as your path to jazz2.exe. Click ok and you're done!

If there's edit or anything else as an action too, make sure open is set as the default action.

Altho someone now has to find out, how to join with your character instead of jazz...

Probably you can join in with your character and maybe your fur with a some command lines from the game, I can't remember the command lines and I got the game uninstalled from my computer, but I'm pretty sure that many people got a list of it, just search, then add the command line to the .j2i command sequence.

As far as I know you can't set your fur through the command line but if you can I'd be very interested in knowing. When joining through gip.php you should join as the character you normally use, just in default colors.
