If this is done, why not have it so that they all connect to every server there (four to five servers) to play in their games.
JJ3 in 3D would be the ideal move. FPS preferred, but I will take a TPS when done correctly.

I don't know, an FPS wouldn't be jazz. Something like PDO would rock. Or a TPS. But if they make jazz into a TPS, it can't become one of those just another animal TPS. I mean, how many have there been?
Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, Conker, that one about the racoon, Ratchet and Klink or whatever it's called, the one about the stuffed animals or so, and a whole slew of others I do not wish to remember. |

The JJ3 on Xbox thing was a joke on me by Trafton. Thank him for the rumor. Yay rumors ;D

Not that I'm saying it's being done, but if it were done it would certainly see a Xbox version. Especially thanks to the new agreements Epic has made with Microsoft (or is that vice versa? :P) http://www.gamer.nl/nieuws/19142

Hopefully, whee. JJ3 on all console or PS2. 3d, Platformer or FPS.

Let's look logically at all the consoles and see why/why not JJ3 could be possible.
Gamecube: Very, very likely. Gamecube has the perfect audience for a game like Jazz Jackrabbit. However, the Unreal Engine is not designed for a processor such as the Gamecube's. While the Gamecube is very powerful, it does not have the pure processing power needed to run Unreal. Xbox: The most likely candidate. The Unreal Engine is designed for systems almost identical to the Xbox. If they made a PC version, it would be nearly identical in graphic quality to the Xbox. However, the Xbox has, in general, a more mature audience than what Jazz Jackrabbit requires. Playstation 2: No. Just no. The PS2 suffers from slow loading times, blocky graphics, and a cheap processor. While the PS2 may capture the largest audience overall, Epic does not like the PS2. No one likes the PS2. It is simply not made for games like Unreal. The facts: Gamecube has graphics powered by ATI. Xbox has graphics powered by Nvidia. Both of those are ideal for running Unreal. The PS2? Who even knows what powers the PS2. It is obviously nothing too special, as the PS2 can not even properly play DVDs. The Xbox is the console that would almost certainly get JJ3. Gamecube is a possibility, but it would suffer some slowdowns, and the controller is REALLY not designed for Unreal. Playstation 2 has absolutely no chance of getting a decent port of any Unreal game. Even the original Unreal Tournament has slowdowns on PS2. But none of this really matters, as Epic has officially flushed Jazz down the toilet. However, if there ever were a JJ3, you can bet a bundle it'd be on Xbox and PC. Nothing more. |

lol, No offense, but I doubt that JJ will even TOUCH councils, lets first concentrate on getting them to actually sit down and make the game first for PC. Then lets consider the system benefits. The market for Council wouldn't sell with JJ3, PC is the overall better deal for them right now. =)

You're just wrong. CliffyB says any JJ3 would be first on, if not exclusively on, a console.

Mmmmm...Shocks me considering that Jazz has only had life on GBA, though it would be nice to see it on a console....problem becomes that the game would most likely NEED to have an online function. Simply stating that Jazz2 is a great game.....the only reason I played it for as long as I did (3 years) was because of the online capabilities.
I would fear that JJ3 would fumble around on a system, since to any regular console owner, this would be something they've never heard of before and depending if it'll be a FPS or not can make a huge difference. Also Rabbit, they haven't done anything with JJ3 in sometime. I want to see a third installment in the Jazz series as much as the next jazzer does, but I remember hearing that it looks as if ONLY Cliffy wants to actually see a JJ3. Though I'm not an expert and I haven't read very much if anything since I was last playing JJ2. What I'm stating isn't about facts, but rather stating the better choice and in my personal opinion the smarter choice to release the game onto. Thank you. |
