Problems with #jj2
Four days ago (I think) I first tried out #jj2. I did not before because I had doubt it would work. However, it worked fine, even though I haven't downloaded IRC.
The day after it worked aswell, but as I wanted to log in yesterday (tried several times) it didn't work. At first it told me it was connecting, then after some time had elapsed there was an error message, no connection to IRC. I did not change anything on my computer or something, and I really don't get the reason why it suddenly does not work anymore. I tried again today, but it was the same. If it is helpful, I can also post the error message. EDIT: [19:29] *** Welcome to CGI:IRC 0.5.4 (2004/01/29) [19:29] *** Looking up b0rk.uk.quakenet.org [19:29] *** Connecting to b0rk.uk.quakenet.org ["number"*] port 1500 [19:29] *** An error occured: Connecting to IRC: Connection timed out connecting to "number"* * I do not want to spoil my IP-address here, that's why I changed it.

There are several IRC clients, but mIRC is the most reliable. If a connection times out it automatically tries another server (b0rk.uk.quakenet.org isn't the only quakenet server

I did not really understand most of the things you brought up, but according to what Nimrod said, does that mean I'll have to download mIRC to be able to connect again?

I mentioned to you before that mIRC does not require you have administrator access to install and use it.
If you are still trying to avoid a download then try this: http://www.jpilot.com/products/jirc/demo1.html Type irc.quakenet.org in the "server name" box... wait a minute or two... it takes a little longer than usual to connect with that. My suggestion: Download mIRC or dIRC.

Thanks. I'll download mIRC soon, when I have time.
